Just got the SM-G920I via the Monoprice deal. It came loaded with 5.1.1 and upon startup did a Samsung update to bring it to the latest firmware. It's stock and not rooted right now. Put in my AT&T SIM and works fine with LTE and everything else. That's the good part. Given it comes with no warranty, I only have about 5 more days to decide whether to keep it or return it. Not being a Touchwiz fan, I installed some alternative launchers I've used in the past (Nova Prime, Action Launcher 3 Pro and Smart Launcher Pro). I can't diagnose any particular repeatable event, but every once in a while (several times a day) the phone just appears to restart showing the Samsung splash screen bringing you to to lock screen. It doesn't seem to be a full reboot as you don't see the initial "Android" screen and the "recent" menu is still full with the apps in place before the restart. Is this a common Samsung feature/bug other see? Does it seem like the phone might have faulty hardware? I did check for it being a fake, but it seems 100% genuine Samsung. For as painful as it is, I'm now using it under Touchwiz just to see if there is some incompatibility with 3rd party launchers. Any advice?
