Htc 816g octacore with mediatek chipset soft bricked and with a bootloop during ota

I got a ota for stagefright today and downloaded it when the update was installing the phone suddenly hanged and rebooted after which no command screen came with series of boot. Pls help .
Its an unrooted device with htc ui.
