Nexus 9 LTE rooting?

Ok, so I just ordered my Nexus 9 LTE from Rogers, and I plan on rooting it when I get it, the only thing though is that I am used to LTE and WIFI devices having different hardware, but it doesn't seem like that is the case with the Nexus 9. Is rooting the Nexus 9 LTE exactly the same as the WIFI version? Does it use the same files?

This is my first LTE tablet, so I am a bit confused.
