Problem flashing stock rom and being able to toggle wifi/proximity sensor

I have an M919 Galaxy S4 on Tmobile. My phone started having the "sim card removed error" several times a day. Instead of messing with solutions I've read about inserting foam I decided to flash my current setup to a new phone. Using a TWRP backup, I flashed my boot, system, and data to a new phone (4.4.4 stock, rooted). However, the wifi off at boot and won't toggle on or off. Also, the proximity sensor keeps the screen off, even when I press the power button, during calls. When I take this same phone and flash the original stock rom, everything seems to work again. Any ideas would be really appreciated.

As a side not, is there a way to flash TWRP backups using ODIN? The folders seem to consist of several md5 files and I was wondering if there was a way to flash all of that at once, or for TWRP to generate a tar file.
