Stock Verizon S6 and MicroCell

I have had my S6 for a few months and I cant seem to get it o connect to my Micro Cell through my network. For a while I thought my MicroCell was bad but then my friend came over on her Sony Xperia z3m and it connects and gives her full Verizon signal where I get lucky to get 1 bar - usually searching for signal. Im curious if anyone else as this issue with the Samsung MicroCell network extender. Its only a few years old and apparently works just not with my S6. Thoughts?

Also she she gets the House icon on the task bar where I do not.
