So, for anyone who tried to flash, let's say the Nordic version over, let's say the French version of 5.0.2 firmware.
This should work with all firmwares.
This is what I did.
I had 5.0.2 installed, French version. I downloaded the Nordic Generic Version from SAMMOBILE, and decided to flash it over the French version.
So, download complete, now it's time to extract the files from the downloaded package. Ends up in error, file corrupted, but still after I press cancel on the pop up message, it continues to extract the tar file.
Ok, open ODIN, connect the phone [ Samasung Galaxy Alpha G850F ] in download mode, insert the tar file in ODIN and press START.
After the flashing is done, FAILED at the last line [ flashing hidden image ]
At this point, the phone won't start and on the screen it shows a message that I must flash a ROM with Kies, because there is no OS installed.
Now, I put again the phone in download mode and flash with ODIN - CF-Auto-Root-slte-sltexx-smg850f.tar.md5 [This is the file that roots the phone]
I put the phone again in download mode and flash with ODIN - recovery.tar.md5 [twrp 2.8.7.0]
NOW, and only NOW I let the phone restart. After it restarts, it is upgrading all the apps, and after the Finishing Boot message, it boots normally, I go through the set up guide and check the firmware, and of course it is : G850FXXU2COI3_G850FNEE2COI1_G850FXXU1COI3_HOME [ Nordic version ]
Of course I knew that I have other firmware since the set up guide started by asking me to choose the language, and the first selected was ENGLISH, not French.
That's it.
