Music on SD card

My wife has a Z2, but after the latest update, the music app doesn't recognize the music on the SD card, same goes for photos and the album app. Anybody knows a fix for this? It's not rooted.

Music lagging and skipping in Micromax A177. What to do?

I am using Micromax Canvas Juice A177 with AOSPL custom ROM. But when i am trying to open a song or a music in my phone, it lags like hell. It is not possible to listen to the music. I have tried many music players like Poweramp or Dowubletwist etc.. But they didnt solved my problem. But the radio is very smooth. There is no lagging in the radio. Please help me..!! what to do?:eek:

Problems playing music stored on sdcard

Hi, is anyone else experiencing issues with playing music stored on their sdcard? The music plays for several minutes and then will just pause for no apparent reason. No sign that the card has been unmounted or anything like that, could it be a problem with the card itself perhaps although I've copied lots of music to and from it with no problems?

Lollipop: no advanced music widget on lockscreen

I have been checking SamMobile for 5 months every day to see when Lollipop comes out for my area. The waiting game is officially over! Really impressed with the smooth GUI and performance (though the battery - 2500 mAh - will definitely not last as much as with KitKat).

One thing that really bugs me: I listen to a lot of music on my phone and the big lockscreen music widget was quite a blessing for me. It had a slider, next/previous track, play/pause, so pretty much everything. Now, Lollipop threw out the whole concept of lockscreen widgets and has only these notifications (which are pretty cool), but the music player notification is trash. Small buttons, no slider etc. I found a neat music player called Star, and it kinda solves the problem, but still no slider.

Did anyone find an acceptable solution to this problem?

Music Player Widget with scrubber

Hello XDA,

I have searched Google and XDA, but have not been able to find a media player that has a widget with a scrubber/seekbar on it. I have been through 90% of the media players on the Store and have found only 2 widgets that come close. One had a pop up (slide from bottom of screen) containing media info and scrubber, and the other had only a play progress bar on it (no scrubbing function).

To clarify, I am looking for a home screen widget that has scrubber/seekbar functionality, not a lockscreen media player interface.

Is there a functional reason why no one has developed/released this or am I just not searching correctly for this functionality?

I appreciate any assistance in resolving this.

Current subscribers won’t receive Google Play Music credit with a new Nexus purchase

Sorry Google Play Music subscribers. It looks like you won’t be getting an advertised three month credit when you purchase a new LG Nexus 5X or Huawei Nexus 6P. In the terms for the Play Nexus 90 promotion, it says the following:

“The Offer is only open to residents in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Poland, Greece, Japan, Australia and New Zealand (each an “Eligible Territory”) who:

In past cases, even as recently as the Nexus 6, current subscribers would get a credit towards their bill. I personally have a credit until December due to buying a Nexus 6 and I’ve been a subscriber since the service begun a few years ago.

Definitely disappointing but probably not something that will keep many people from purchasing the phone. If you’ve only used the free version of the service it appears that you’ll still be able to redeem the offer and get three free months.

Samsung Milk Music Companion App

I know I'm not the only one, but Just starting a thread about not being able to install the Samsung Milk Music Companion App because it says it is not available for your device, even though I have a Gear S2 and an S5.

music player not working

I have a lg g4 stock rooted on tmobile usa, my issue is it cam with a 32 gig sd card I have a 125gig card now when ever play music, a message pops up saying "sorry the song couldn't be played" I down loaded other music players and got same message....any ideas on whats going on

Bluetooth Remote for phone calls (mic), music control

Hi there,

I'm trying to find a bluetooth remote that sticks to my steering wheel and:

• Has a microphone for phone calls


• Connects via bluetooth and fits to my steering wheel (to use with the right hand while driving)


• Let's me: Accept calls, control volume and music (next/prev)

Is there anything like this? The closest I found is the Parrot MKI9000 - but I'm not sure if it needs wiring or not.

Music app choice when headphones are plugged in

Hello,

Previous versions of Touchwiz brought up a list of apps, in the notification panel, that could play sound when I plugged in earphones/headphones.
On my 5.1.1 SM-G920F, there's no such list or any music player pop up whenever I plug in earphones/headphones.

Is there a way to enable this behaviour?

CM12.1 - MORT Music Player stops working when screen is off

Hello!

I'm relatively new in the forum and I've checked Q&A regarding my Oneplus One hoping that this problem isn't known already :eek:. Up to today I'm happy with the phone except for some minor problems.
Nevertheless the last problem is a bit more annoying: I'm starting the "MORT Music Player", "play" key is pressed and music starts to play. Then I'm switching off the screen. After some seconds (it differs very much, sometimes it takes 20 seconds, sometimes more than 60 seconds) the Music stops.
This behavior appears only occasionally but when it starts it appears every time I start the player again. It seems that only a complete reboot is helping in this case :(
But when I'm connecting the OPO to the charger and the screen stays switched on (Display setting is active) while executing the same steps as mentioned above the problem doesn't appear :confused:

I'm running the latest Version 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0, installation was done via TWRP with full update (not via OTA), Dalvik Cache was wiped after installation.

Does anybody have the same problem as me or did I miss a Thread in the Forum? Help's appreciated :good:

Music Metadata Problem!

Hello guys, I'm using a 4.7 6039S model. Everything is fine, from budget to effectiveness :good: The only thing bugs me out is that my music files won't show the correct metadata. Elephant by Damien Rice would be shown as ELEphant by DAMIEn Rice, Cannonball would turn into CANNOnball,... My files show correctly in Windows (7, 8, 10), but not in the phone. I've tried to change using app like Music Tagger, not working, everything changes back to the way it is, very messy way.
I listen to a ton of music, so this makes me feel decrepit. It may be not a big deal, but I can't deal with it. Idol 3 is my only Android device, I don't know if any other Android is the same. How can I change the way it is? :rolleyes:

Occasional Freezing and Music Skipping

Hey everyone, quick question, curious if any else experiences this. I have my VZW G4 rooted and have some optimizations. Kernel Adiutor tweaks, Greenifying apps etc. I notice sometimes that the UI freezes for a second or two then comes back to life and sometimes when playing music with the screen off the music will stop playing for a second or 2 then come back on. The music is locally downloaded from Spotify so I know it's not my data connection dropping off. Anyone else experience something similar or have any recommendations? Thanks!
