Stuck into TWRP bootloop

Folks,

I tried to reboot the phone today (completely working and functional, running Euphoria), but instead of rebooting, it booted into recovery; and stays there no matter what. I restored my nandroid backup, did factory reset, fixed permissions... none of them works. even when choosing power off or bootloader in TWRP, it again reboots into recovery.

This is the first time I see this, I searched a bit, but couldn't find an answer, any help is appreciated.

P.S. I found this on another device thread, but even this didn't work for me on OPO:

" Go to TWRP recovery terminal commands, and enter the following:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
PRESS ENTER
THEN TYPE
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc
THEN PRESS ENTER "
