FXNOW app on Fire TV

I downloaded the new official Fxnow App for the Fire TV, logged in and tried to play something. Everything and I mean everything that I try to play brings up a 'can't play' error. Everything else works fine on the Fire TV ( netflix, Hbogo, etc. ) and the sideloaded FXnow apk app plays everything fine using a usb keyboard, so the only thing I can think of for why the Fxnow app isn't playing is it's out, but not supported yet because the install app wasn't easy to find. It was buried in the search area, rather than coming up as an app and that it won't be officially active until the 2nd Gen Fire Tv is released on Oct 5th. Anyone installed the Fxnow app, registered it with their cable / sat company and found out that nothing is playable. Wanted to find out if it was a problem on my end. Can someone please confirm this?
