My Moto G 2014 xt1068 did not perform well for a long time. I tried editing the lmk values with just a little improvement, I also added ro.MAX_HIDDEN_APPS to Build.prop with a value of 16. But with this, the phone tends to work ok until RAM gets full. Then it hangs for a lot of time and the screen goes black. But yesterday, without almost any hope I went to Kernel Adiutor and lowered the Z-RAM to 0. And man, that was awesome. Now my Moto G is another phone. I'm almost sure it's not placebo, because now I can listen to music while I'm navigating on chrome and I have Facebook Messenger chat heads active, and before that was just not possible. So, if you want to give it a try, let me know if it worked for you and I hope I helped!

hey guys, I just removede s finder quick connect tabs from my Eclipse V3 rom (N7100)

but after that there is a S finder Icon showed left upper corner of the status bar, how do i remove that icon too, via Build.prop or any other way? :confused:

Needed Firmware for SM-G925P or other

I need a base firmware for a SM-G925P. Customer bought this phone from a pawn shop and it is locked of course. So I am sure the only way to unlock it will be to reflash it. I am finding firmware or rooted firmware for other devices, but not for this device. It is originally a Sprint phone.

Charging Dock

I searched and didnt find a thread for charging docks so I'm posting one. I've gotten really used to the wireless charging with my G3 and with wireless charging gone as an option on the 6P, I'm going to want a nice dock to set the phone on at work.

[Q] How do I change my boot animation?

I have the GWR running Leedroid's urbane port and twrp as my recovery. Every time I try to adb push the bootanimation.zip file I want I get an error stating "failed to copy 'bootanimation.zip' to '/system/media/bootanimation.zip' read-only file system". How do I fix this problem?

Huawei Ascend P6 Touch Panel Problem

Would be great if somebody could help me!
At the left bottom part of the screen, the step-back arrow does not work properly at browser screen. It must be pushed quite strongly to let it work, while the right arrow, the step-forward one works with the slightest touch. For safety sake I tried the smae part of the touch-screen at the normal key-pad, when writing sms. There were no problem at all! What do you think about it? Is ita fatal problem, the whole touch screen must be changed? Or?

Moto X Play Android 5.1.1 Stuck in Bootloader

Hello everyone,

I've managed to unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP recovery 2.8.7 onto my Moto X Play to install SuperSU v2.46 and root the device.

However, when I opened the SuperSU installer, it had a message saying that the SuperSU binary was not installed and it was a fatal error. I then booted the device into bootloader mode through the command terminal on my PC and tried to restart it from there but now it is stuck. The command terminal said that the reboot had been done, but after typing in the same command again and hitting enter, it said <waiting for device>.

I've tried holding down the power button along with different combinations, but they do not work. It is probably bricked. So how can I fix this?
Any help regarding this issue will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Default clock app deskclock soemtimes does not start alarm

I am having weird issue. I am using default CM12.1S rom with all updates + xposed with few minor modules.

Default clock alarm sometimes does not work, if it is set after few minutes from putting phone it works every-time, but if I use it to wake up in the morning sometimes it does not launch it all ~2 from 7 times.
I can see in status bar that clock is set and time is shown correctly, but sometimes it just does not go off.

And I am not missing it because I can not hear it, alarm goes off just fine on tablet (backup plan to not miss work), then clock should launch it after minute in the phone, but it does not do that.

This started one week ago.

ROM for S4 on Cricket prepaid

I'm looking for a good rom that I can run on the cricket or straight talk S4 (I'm unsure of the specific model those are on those prepaid networks)

Can't mount system [TWRP]

Hello guys,

I've unlocked my bootloader and flashed TWRP.
Unlocked the bootloader the official way, flashed TWRP latest version from their website.

When I booted my phone it went straight into recovery. I saw that in "Mount" system was unchecked, checked it, rebooted, but it still got into recovery.
I downloaded official stock rom for 5.1 and flashed it using Flashtool, which didn't help as well.

Still TWRP cannot mount SYSTEM.

Any ideas...?

Recurrent partition errors and freezing

I updated my s4 to the lollipop goh1 update through Odin. All went well. Used it for about a day when all of a sudden the screen stopped responding and went blank. In this state it is identified by the computer as qhusb dload. When I pull the battery and restart it starts fine and boot alright but after about 2 minutes of use (or less) it freezes again. I reflashed the rom(l720sptgoh1) through Odin and still gave me same problem,flashed it with pit file numerous time etc. Upon each flash when it boots to stock recovery to complete, it shows cache wipe failed. I installed philz recovery to try to wipe cache and it was successful however now system won't boot at all,stuck on glowing Samsung with blue blinking led. I've tried installing cm12 and recovery cannot mount system data and cache partitions. I then reflash through odin retry and get the same results. Could it be hardware? Please help. I'm desperate

How to change Offline Charging Animation ?

Hello everyone, i'm an OPO user but this thread could be interesting for all Android devices.

I saw that the offline charging animation of stock firmwares ( COS12.1 in my case ) is different from every other AOSP / CM based ROMS

Is there any way to change it? I can't find the location of thoses files..

Also is it possible to take another device's Offline charging animation and make it work on another device?

I found this in /res/images/charger/



But i found the same files on the Xperia Z1 running stock firmware. Thoses two PNG files must rely to something else , or may be used only when there is no OEM firmware on the device. Because this images look really similar to what i see when charging my OPO running a CM based ROM.

[?] Radio/Modem Downgrade

Hello!

I am currently rooted and running the latest COI5 firmware. My signal quality has greatly reduced since upgrading to this firmware. I have attempted to Odin the BOH6 modem/radio file. Once doing so, I get an X on the signal, and baseband version shows "unknown." I then Odin the COI5 modem and I have service back, crappy service, but service never the less. When I have BOH6, I would have LTE, now I have H+. With BOH6 I would have H+ in some areas, now I have EDGE.

Anyone have a suggestion on how I can get back to BOH6 and/or how I can make my service better?

I was trying to play Madden and I keep getting kicked for not having a network connection when it fluctuates from LTE to H+ to UMTS to EDGE.

HELP. Can't get custom recovery to boot on Z3v

I have rooted .378 FW, and im trying to flash Pre rooted 5.0.2. but I cant get custon recovery to work, Im trying to use TWRP. Everytime I press "reboot into recovery" it just reboots my phone like normal...Someone helppppppp

DAC Options for our new Type-C connector?

I'm hoping that with the new USB Type-C connector and Power Delivery 2.0, someone will finally make my ideal type of DAC for phone use in the car:

USB input for powering DAC from cigarette lighter adapter (2.1A)
USB input/output for connection to Type-C jack on phone - phone sends digital audio to DAC, and phone simultaneously charges at (relatively) high power thanks to Power Delivery 2.0
3.5mm audio line out - connect to car AUX input

Currently the DACs I find that come closest to meeting this are the FiiO E18 and the Creative Labs E5, but both add a lot of expense and complexity in trying to be everything to everyone (internal battery for portable use, headphone amp with volume control, etc.). Reviews also state that using them with a phone while also charging the phone can be very touchy.

Is anyone else looking for something like this, or have ideas about where it can already be found? I'm not averse to using a portable DAC in the car, but I want the phone charging to be pretty bulletproof. :good:

Please help, I tried to install and it failed, so I did a fastboot oem boot and now the phone works, but I cannot enter recovery, is there anything I can do. I am at a loss, whenever I restart the phone, I have to fastboot oem boot or it will stay stuck in 4 exclamations

I flashed the lboot from that zipfile available at , but now I also cannot enter boot loader.

XT1548 Where to buy???

The CDMA version of this phone(XT1548) is elusive. You cannot order it from motorola.com as it is not even an option. Their customer service directed me to Verizon which is annoying since they do not carry it. Looking at the specs on Droid Life, I tried each carrier site listed for this version. US Cellular is the only company to offer it but they WILL NOT ship it unless your billing address is in one of their tiny coverage cities and in my case it is not even available in my state. Who has this phone and where can you buy it? I want it! Please help if you know, thanks.:confused:

I Just Cant do anything to my Note 3 n900w8, WHY?

let me start by saying I've read almost all your threads only reason im actually bothering is because I'm really feeling like smashing my phone to bits .... that's how frustrating this has been. my phone was rooted and custom ROM till about 4 weeks ago, when Tmobile told me the IMEI on my phone was reported as stolen ... i grabbed my box as my phone i have since it was new and compared the IMEI ... to my surprise IMEI on box and on Phone chasis was not same as the one inside phone .... my phone was unblocked by a local unblocking service here in PR so i went to them and surely they took my phone and lent me another one while it was getting fixed ... "IMEI" was being changed again and it wasn't the one on the box either ... the gave me lame excuse about my IMEI .... they kept my note 3 for a week almost 2 after i got it back my note 3 said it was rooted but i couldn't use any apps for rooted phones as it would say i didn't have root access ... as i no longer trust these people i went on and tried fixing the issue myself ... and here's the thing i have tried absolutely everything cf auto root tar from download mode and even thru odin all versions of odin and using the sm-n900w8 cf auto root and the right roms "different one's to see if it was the rom's or the phone" i am about to give up i simply cannot root my phone so that i can install a modified rom ... thought of contacting you guys ... as my last resort ... i am so sorry to bother i know you guys are very busy ... but if you guys cant help i will have to settle for just a regular note 3 and that sucks... i have picture of absolutely everything i have tried and the outcome and the errors i have gotten and all in pics if needed...

huawei p8 bootloader unlock without IMEI & Debranding questions

So I was just wondering if you could unlock the bootloader and root without sending your imei to huawei, and how to debrand your phone with a backup. Last time I did this, I forgot to backup and my ascend p7 stuffed up really badly. I really dont want this to happen again, to this brand new p8, so any detailed help would be very useful. (HELP)No notifications on WiFi

Whenever I'm on WiFi I seem to be connected fine and can surf the web usually. Sometimes it just hangs their even though it has strong signal. This is when it gets weird every time I turn off my WiFi I get flooded with notifications. I'm running the latest version of blisspop on Nexus 6.

[Q] Caller voice repeating

I have a problem, after flashing a ported rom every caller calling me hears their own voice repeating.

On the Stock Note 3 ROMs like Audax it wasn't a problem.

I have tested on the "DarkLord S6 v3" & "Aurora Note 3 Full G9200 Port No 1". Both have the same problem for my N9005.

But not on the Audax and other stock ROMs.

I think it happens on the ported ROMs. Might be just me having the problem, as there is no other saying anything about it.

any solutions?

Sm-N910t bootloop stock rom

My note 4 randomly restarted and it was on a bootloop on the note 4 screen
I reinstalled the stock t-mobile room via Odin and it started but as soon as it was on the lock screen it restarted again and continued the bootloop,I tried to reinstall the stock rom again but it won't get off the loop sometimes it shows a blue legend saying entering recovery
Please help me

LG G2 HW crash , Demigod Crash Handler

BASIC summary: D800, CLOUDY G3.3
in the morning, my phone started lagging beyond what considered even functional. suddenly, it crashed, and a green screen appeared with a message "Watchdog app bite! " .
i booted to recovery, made a a full backup.. wiped everything and flashed clean, Cloudy G3.3 clean. it booted, when it arrived at updated app - optimization 3-119 apps, it crashed and booted to green screen with "HW crash detects - demigod crash handler" ..
NOTE: i ALSO tried other ROMS, stocks one, such as stripped version from blastagator but with the same problem...
I read on other forums, that The modem/radio and possibly the CPU itself have problems with very low power states and suggested removing the sim card during the boot.
I did so, and voila! it did boot.
now, i decided to place the sim card back in, and reboot. however the "HW crash detected" appeared again. i removed the sim card and it booted fine.
as I read on that forum dated back to 2013, that a clock frequency must be changed at min clock frequency of 1000MgHz BUT that was for optimums G not for lg g2. the reason for min clock speed change, so it does not crash at low power state, when modern and radio engage during the booting process. .
so i flashed Dorimax Kernel first, and then booted with the simcard inside, however it crashed again. Now when i removed the simcard AGAIN, it booted fine..

any help will be appreciated!

Hello everyone. My name is tony. First off sorry for being a noob. I should have been learned this. I would like to ask if i could get some help. I want to create a simple calculator that just has a GUI with a grid like layout of clickable buttons at the lower-left-hand side of the activity that has the value 0-9,addition, subtraction,
multiplication,division,decimal, percentage,calculate,clear and clear all . I would like a Text-view above the buttons to display the values of the buttons when clicked. I also would like the result of the calculation to be in the upper right hand corner of the screen that fades in when the user clicks the calculate button .I have searched around and have looked at lots of source code for calculators but there not really "nooob friendlyy"

Some Logic of what im wanting:

user click numbutton -> button pushes its value to Text-View -> user click numbutton -> button pushes its value to Text-View
->user clicks an operand-> Text-View clears its Text on next numbutton press (but still holding that prior value the user entered)->user clicks another numbutton (if they clicked a numbutton it's value would be set to the text-view) or the calculate button -> calculate the two values using the clicked operand and set it to the TextView Result->TextView Result fades in at the top right hand corner of the activity.


Here is were i get:confused:

(1)I'm trying to use int/longs and float/doubles depending if the decimal is in the text view when the user clicks the operand.
if is there, expect and return floats and if not, expect and return int's.
(2)parse commands parseInt().gettext().tostring coverts the int to string and respectively for the other data types correct?Is there some benefit to covering to strings?


If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I really would like some code though. Heavily commented for a noob. I feel like its the only way ill learn. I will say that i am starting to see more and more of the puzzle and how the pieces come together. Its exciting. Multiple welcome.

P.S. I would just go to college or a code camp but due to insane family situations ,the environment i am around and not having any of my own income, i am unable to attend(F.A. issues). Its not that coding isn't fun. I know i could do this for hours and infidelity plan to. But if i leave my things at anytime i have a serous risk of my items being stolen...

Any Good Nexus 7 Alternatives?

I have had my nexus 7 2013 since release, and I have been through 3 aftermarket screens as well as the OEM screen (none of which I even broke) and this silly tablet has set me back 400$ in screens. I think it is time to sell this thing and get a better 7in tablet. The problem is that I cannot seem to find a good alternative.

I REALLY need modding support such as an unlockable bootloader and plentiful roms (something I adore the nexus devices for) and I want a 1080p or higher screen with a good CPU. I cannot spend any more than 100-150 bucks plus whatever I can get for my existing 32GB tablet. The screen has a crack right on the edge of it, and it usually still works.

I am at a loss though as to what else I can do. I was hoping to buy one off of ebay that didnt power on or had a broken USB port, ect. but I had no luck. I am certainly willing to buy used.

Bootstrap failed

Phone was on 20% battery. I put it on the original charger and activated the sync with my laptop. I noticed from the laptop that it stopped responding. I went in to find it off and very warm. It wouldn't come on so I help the power button down and it finally came on. Once it did I got an alert that said bootstrap failed. It kept coming up every so often. I shut it back off . Anyone know what causes this?

Focus buzz sound

Since I updated my s6 edge to 5.1.1, every time I open snapchat or camera app, the rear camera does a buzzing sound when focusing. I don't know if it's mechanical as I never dropped my phone not even once.

When going into sleep, screen dims, but then lights back up

I've had the watch since tuesday, but am having a problem with it: when going into ambient, screen visibly dims, but ends up lighting back up... Tried several brightness settings, and it does it with all, except maximum brightness (ie 5).

So basically, when going into ambient, the screen progressively dims, but then brights up and ends up settling at the ambient brightness level it should reach when brightness is set at 5.

Have tried several watch faces, and factory resetting, but it doesn't change a thing.

Anyone experiences that?

Will flashing the stock ROM reset the Samsung KNOX counter?

I currently own a Samsung GALAXY Note 4 - SM - N910C which I purchased around 4 months ago. I'm no noob to the whole world of rooting and flashing custom ROMs having owned a GALAXY S3 (I9300) which I played around with for a while with custom ROMs and kernels.

However, I'm very hesitant to root my Note 4 because I've heard that there is no way to reset the KNOX counter. I'm still in my warranty period, so yeah..
I do have the Android 5.0.1 official firmware for the Note 4 which I downloaded through SamMobile. So I was just wondering if I rooted my Note 4 now and flashed the official firmware if I ever need to claim my warranty, will that reset the KNOX counter?

Want to root/install recovery/flash ROMs on SCH-I535 - how to do so on 4.4.2?

I looked through the forums and I found a few threads but they said things like "DO NOT USE IF YOU UPDATED TO 4.1.2".

I've rooted my Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). All I did was flash CF AUTOROOT with ODIN, flashed the TeamWin Recovery, and from there I just moved ROMs over to the device and flashed them from TWRP.

There seems to be outdated info (or maybe I'm just being illiterate) for the SCH I535 because not a lot mentions 4.4.2.

Brief background, want to make this small post here.

Had the S4 for a year, actually enjoyed it for what it was worth, wanted out as soon as we knew for sure there was no root. Stock Touchwiz was just terrible on the 4.


I've never had the chance to own a Nexus device before, my carrier upgrades always came just before the Nexus devices were released, and I've been so ready to upgrade when it comes I jump on it.

This time around I stuck with my G3 for a while. I love this phone. I'm ready for new, and the phones coming out this year are not quite "notable"

I really have my eyes on the Nexus 6P - but US carriers not selling it means I have a decision to make. Got my dad the Note 4 earlier this year, he likes it. I like it the little bit I've played with it. I feel I could even use the Note 5 to replace my notebook in class for notes. ATT bootloader seems to be like the S4. Not much will come of bootloader unlocks with this phone.. It appears.

So I will upgrade through ATT, probably to the Note 5. Question is - stay with the Note 5 and learn to love it, despite the experiences I've had with Samsung, or flip it unopened on CL and order up the N6P....??

I really do not want a subpar camera to the G3, nor do I want a dull screen. Both devices seem on par, both no SD, battery not removable on the Note... Cameras both good..

Anyone here want the Nexus 6P?! Willing to get rid of your Note 5 for it?

galaxy s6 edge issue

I hope someone can help me out.

I have a galaxy s6 edge and it doesn't go pas the blue screen with the a white triangle note, "an error has occurred while updating the device software. use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software"

i try doing this but the smart switch doesn't reconize my phone.

I also tryde to use odin to use the software from sammobile for my phone but that gives a fail.

what can i do?

Okay, so here's how it goes. And keep note: I have an SD card installed at all times. Also thanks again if anyone can help even though this isn't really ROM-related...

I installed an app called Luck Patcher. It modifies apps via root. I know there are risks with modding an app (could add whatever the app wants like malware or adware without me knowing) but I was using it to get rid of ads on some apps that were ad-ridden! But, eventually the app Lucky Patcher started showing notification ads also. So, I tapped and held down on the notification and tap the crossed out alarm icon to silence it. (You know--in Lollipop). Anyway, another ad came up after a while, and I tried to do as before--hold down the notification and silence it. But I must have accidentally tapped it. But the ad was a Chinese app to install. So, since the Lucky Patcher app uses root, the Chinese app-ad downloaded and installed on its own! Then, immediately after installation, Avast popped up saying the app was malware. So I deleted it. And then forgot about it. Now, a week later, I completely wiped my Nook and installed a new ROM to breath some new life again (my nook needed a refreshment). Now, after that was done, I installed Clean Master (I don't use it to wipe RAM) and there was 1.3 GB of some Chinese stuff!! (Screenshot attached) I was wondering after I saw that... Since the app installed itself (root from Lucky Patcher) is it still on my system? But it can't, I would think, since my nook's internal storage looked normal after a wipe.... So is this app somewhere on my nook in the boot and storing junk on my SD card? (Since that is the only place where the 1.3 GB could have been) Thanks for anyone's advice...

P.S. I did the wipe for my nook by using a bootable CWM on another SD card (not with 1.3 GB on it) and formatted /system to completely start over, as well as a factory/data reset. So I wouldn't think that it is still on my Nook? And I have tried multiple scanners, but my Nook comes up clean... Thanks again

Help Galaxy S4 T959V Stuck at TKIP after flashing to Vallaha Black Final

I rooted my phone and worked like a charm. I installed Kernel bhundven-blastoff-v2.5.zip I then installed Final-Fixed.zip vallaha final. I am now stuck at booting to TKIP since i had CWM installed but i guess i installed TKIP over it when i tried to fix it. But i cant get CWM to boot it just always boots to TKIP. I say reboot it says i am not rooted now and asks to install superuser i say yes it reboots back to TKIP each time.

STEPS:

After that WIPE DATA/CAHE

NEXT:Flash lolipop stock rom with odin
No aboot eror!!!!!
After flashing odin says pass.. remove data cable
Your phone is now lolipop.....

How bypass TMobile Unlock App & get Prompt to enter Network Unlock Code / IMEI unlock

Can't seem get the phone to prompt for to Enter Network Unlock Code or IMEI unlock input anywhere after I put a different carrier sim or invalid sim. Is there anyway we can bypass the 3rd Party Tmo Unlock App or get the phone to bypass to enter the network unlock code? The phone is already Rooted running on various ROM such as Darthstalker, Resurrection and Dr, Ketan L2 and also Rooted Stock ROM, but noting seem to get the sim to prompt to enter network unlock. Try Build.Prop nothing there...so far. Try Deleting sys file, apk and other Efs nothing work.... Do I need to change or install a new Baseband/Radio/Modem?

The downloads are typically a little slow, usually about a 3 hour download due to speed limitations on these free file sharing websites.

After you download the file:
1) Extract the zip
2) Download ODIN 3.10.6
3) Put phone into download mode by holding down VOL DOWN + POWER + MIDDLE BUTTON for 10 seconds
4) Open ODIN, and flash the file in the AP checkbox
5) Phone will automatically reboot when done, and you will update your phone entirely to the desired update package.

S3 I9305T ROM Update enquiry

Hello, I have an S3 I9305T for my brother and I'm looking to upgrade it to 4.4.4. The I9305T does not have a 4.4.4 build so I have downloaded the New Zealand I9305 build as it is the closest country of all the options and I am wondering if this will give us any issues being that we are on Vodafone in Australia. From what I have read there is a 4G band difference between the two devices, is this okay? Also the hardware differences have not been made clear between the two devices and if they will bring any complication to using alternate ROM's from other device variants. My final question is if I will be able to downgrade from the official 4.4.4 New Zealand ROM back to the current 4.3 Vodafone Australian ROM without bricking the device and how to do this safely to prevent any cross-version errors between data, keeping in mind that this device is not rooted.

How to set SD card as default storage?

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out how to make the external SD card the default storage. Be it for downloads or data from apps, it's all saved on the internal one and I can't see a way to change it. Most answers I found on google are suggesting to change it in the settings (storage --> make SD card primary storage, which is not available) or in the aosp browser (not available either). :eek:

Something is wrong, battery is bad

So long story short, my battery life isn't even close to being on par with most screenshots I see. People claim to get 5 hours of SOT on a heavy day while my phone is struggling to pull out 3 hours on a light day. Last time I started a thread people told me to wait until lollipop, but it still hasn't improved and its been a month after I took the update. I barely reach 18 hours on a really good day but most days I'm stuck with 11-12 hours before my phone dies. I can't remember the last time i had over 3 and a half hours of screen on time on a phone that's easily supposed to pull 4.5-6. I've tried everything, disabling apps, radios, ect... Any advice? Any chance i can complain to Motorola and have them ship me a new one that could possibly solve the problem? Please help because it's very frustrating that the only reason I bought the turbo was for battery life and I got almost the same battery life with my old S4

B.Loop, no rec. , what to flash via fastboot/flashmode?

Hangs on the Sony logo. Flashed a rom thinking I was BL unlocked, rooted. Turns out not. I can still get into blue or green mode so my i think i need something to flash back to stock. I don't know which or where.

I was getting conflicting info from fastboot and flashtool+ EMMA. Went through the BL unlock code via Fastboot, it failed because already unlocked it says. Then I rooted. EMMA immediately flagged it as being locked. I ended up flashing a CM via flashtool.

Is anyone familiar with this unit? I just received mine and theres a few bugs. Sometimes when booting it will freeze and i have to reboot it , the other is the Bluetooth audio is terrible. When connected thw sound is real high and crackles. But other audio sounds fine. Its weird, its in a sense a stock android unit, but it looks like the Bluetooth functionality has been altered. The only way for bluetooth to play is to open the pre-installed bluetooth app. It wont play unless this app is opened. If someone can make a more stock and stable rom i will make a donation. Just let me know what is needed. I also tried the an 21 u root method and it did not work.

Getting boot loop when try to enter into recovery mode

Guys i need your help.i rooted my phone few days before and flashed cwm 6.0
3 and flashed a cm10 based rom.Now i wish to flash cm12.1 on my grand duos...for that i flashed latest version of cwm over my 6.0.3 cwm...when i try to enter into recovery i am getting boot loop and after some time it boot up normally.But when i flash cwm 6.0.3(old version) using odin recovery work again...i cam only flash cwm 6.0.3 on my phone cannot flash any latest recovery...
Note:tried cwm(touch and non touch),twrp,philz touch none of them worked....
I tried to flash all this recovery using odin still old prb persist...

i have also updated my t2 ultra dual (D5322) on android 5.1.1 last month. its built number is 19.4.A.0.182. every problem i face before is fixed after that but not the yellow flicker in camera during low light. it doesen't matter that much to me though, the thing matters that i am worried for is the battery. it drains a lot fast than before! i m so disappointed with it. so i wanna know how to fix the battery problem with this . 1.1? is there any solution about it yet?

Dual sim Discussion

Hopefully some google techs come by this post. As you guys have noticed the dual sim phone trend is growing. The convenience of not having to carry 2 phones is very helpful. For the ones who have to carry personal and business phones this thread is for us.

I was really hoping they released this with dual Sims. Currently I have a Oneplus One as a main line and I need to get a second phone asap. I'm hoping there could be some sort of mod we can do to change the Huawei to dual sim. Huawei has a lot of dual sim phones so I'm assuming the hardware comes already pre-wired for it.

I'm hoping to find do a way not to have to carry. Y Oneplus One and a Nexus 6P. Both phones are pretty hefty to carry especially in a suit. I understand the phone is not released yet but let's get the ball rolling.

Errors While Trying To Install CyanogenMod

I am currently trying to install cyanogenmod on my HAM2. I have an unlocked bootloader, latest version of TWRP installed, and cynogenmod in the root of my sd card. I have cleared my cache, delvik cache, and system as well. However I keep getting an error telling me "unable to mount storage during GUI start up" and the other saying that there was an "error executing updater binary in zip external sdcard cyanogemod." Can someone please assist me as to how to resolve this issue ?:(:confused:

Media Playback Issues...I think

So a few days ago something very weird happened to my phone. I opened up YouTube to listen to some music while on the bus and got a weird error saying "There was a problem playing, tap to try again". So I tapped and the same error came up. I gave up and went to my Google play music app and found that no music will play. Later I went on Baconreader, Snapchat, and Facebook where I can't watch videos and can't take videos on Snapchat. I can take pictures on Snapchat but not videos. When I click on a story the story closed as if I quick tapped to skip the video. Also if anyone calls me I can't hear them talk, I'm not sure if they can hear me though. So far I tried updating my software which I have been avoiding for about a week, no solution. I tried clearing my entire cache, didn't fix it. I really really really don't want to restore my phone because I really hate doing that and having to deal with it. And so far Google hasnt been much help. Can anyone give any insight to what's happening here? Also, the phone is not rooted and no custom roms, stock.

After running cleanmaster some apps.....

I been dealing with this problem for about a month now. I play a few games on my zenfone 2 2gb/16, wordchums, dice with friends, and a few jewel/gem games nothing big or too graphical. Everything was running beautiful but then I ran cleanmaster that came bundled on the phone and since then a few games take like 15 seconds to load and a few a so graphic laggy.

Has anyone else come across this? My zen is completely stock on latest 97 firmware bit been happening before I upgraded. I have tried recovery and cleaning cache partition but it has not helped... Any ideas? Thanks

Is my Galaxy S3 I747 a hard brick now?

So after trying to unroot and stock my phone, I messed up using this method: http://www.androidrootz.com/2012/10/...s3-no.html?m=1 / So my S3 did unroot and stock it, but the thing about that is, it stocked it all the way back to android version 4.0.4. I try to update it myself cause I'm too stupid and caught up in what I was doing to remember the part where carriers actually give out updates from time to time, so after some time trying to manually update it, using the volume down + home method, going to the reboot / Wipe cache / Wipe Dalvik cache - Data / etc, I chose all 4 options, once choosing reboot phone, that is when the phone seem gone. Trying to reboot, the phone was stuck at the SAMSUNG logo with the LED light changing colors, the battery slowly but surely getting hotter. Trying a few more times to boot it, I've come to the same conclusion.
So... is it repairable, or nah?

The Z5 Premium or the Google Nexus 6P

I'm definitely leaning towards getting the Z5 Premium. But any reason to get the Nexus 6P instead? I need lots of storage, for my lossless music collection. And I'm familiar with Sony's Xperia overlay on Android since I've owned all the Z tablets (currently on the Z4 tablet). Both phones use the same SoC. The Z5 seems clearly better. Am I missing anything?

CM Installation Problems

I posted this last night on the CM forums and have had one responder but thought this might reach a wider audience. I'm copying and pasting the OP and I'll try to include as much info as possible.

Hi,

I'm fairly new to flashing etc. New as in this was the first time I tried it. I'm fairly tech savvy, I just haven't flashed a custom rom before.

I followed all the instructions on the CM wiki for the S5 (AU).

Long story short, every step in those instructions worked perfectly once I accounted for my own errors or misunderstandings. Flashed the TWRP recovery just fine. There were problems with ADB not working when the phone was in recovery mode (discovered it's something to do with win 8 and above) so I just rebooted into stock rom (where ADB worked) and used adb push to copy the files to sdcard. Everything went swimmingly until the actual CM installation. I followed the instructions and did the factory reset, went to install and the installation took something like 10 mins before I started to wonder how long it was meant to take. Little bit of googling got me more worried, after about 20 I pulled the battery, back into recovery and went into Wipe again. Cleared Dalvik, cache, system all manually and then did the factory reset option on top of that just to be thorough. Installation is still taking forever. It's currently been around 20 minutes. Some posts I've read say rooting is required but that installation article specifically says rooting is neither required nor recommended. I've no idea where to turn now. I can't use ADB to copy a stock firmware back on as it doesn't work in recovery mode, nor can I try the klte or kltedev versions (don't think they're meant for this model anyway). It's just stuck on "flashing file 1 of 1" - the last thing in the log is "Patching system image unconditionally..." I'm running windows 10, not that that should make any difference.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Update: After about 40 mins I pulled battery again and thought I'd try booting normally and seeing what it does. Just sits at "Samsung Galaxy S5" splash screen.

TL;DR/Extra info:
Galaxy S5 G900I (AU) Vodafone
Was running Lollipop 5.0 as per Vodafone OTA update
Using instructions on the CM wiki page for the GS5 (AU) I flashed TWRP using Heimdall with no errors. ADB would not work in download/recovery (couldn't see device) so booted phone into stock ROM and used ADB push to copy the CM file to sdcard root. Note: I don't have an sd card, it's internal storage. Rebooted into recovery, tried to flash CM, it sat on installation screen for about 20 mins. Tried 3 times, leaving it for 40 mins, still nothing. Stock OS has been wiped so I can't get back into that, and because ADB doesn't work I can't reflash recovery from scratch, can't copy a new download of CM on, can't copy the stock ROM to flash. ADB Sideload just tries to run and fails. Currently trying to get ADB working. Running Win 10, device stopped showing up in device manager or Zadig at this point. Restarted PC, ran Zadig again, it saw device, reinstalled driver, now shows up in device manager under USB Devices as MSM8960 (so not under Portable Devices as it once did). Note: the safely remove icon in system tray showed "Galaxy S5 (Phone name)" before I ran Zadig again, now it shows MSM8960.

Super weird issue with my Note 5

Hey guys I have a super weird issue. The last couple of days my Note 5 has been giving me a notification stating "Activation Incomplete". I called Verizon and they said it could be a fault SIM card so I replaced it and it happened again. It usually goes away after a reboot but I shouldn't have to be rebooting the phone all the time because of this notification. Any one else get a similar problem?

Also, I have a weird issue now in which my Action Memo app won't actually open up a memo when I use the S-Pen Air Command. In the air command window all of the other functions work but not Action memo. Once again, a restart sometimes fixes it. Then, I noticed that the S-Pen button to open up air command sometimes doesn't work and won't open the Air Command window. I have no idea how these issues emerged. It just started a few days ago.

Any/all advice and suggestions help. Thanks guys!

OTA stagefright update bricked my phone

I had a rooted lg volt for boost and accepted the update now my phones in a endless loop. :eek:

I am using Lg g2 f320s and i wanted to know how to update it to stock 5.0
I have to upgrade it manually because auto update says you are on latest os.
If someone can help it will be greatly appreciated.
Currently using 4.4.2 Stock Rooted.

Amazon Fire TV Kodi Splashscreens & Guide Thread

Here are my custom splashscreens which i modded or tweaked myself using Photoshop, but seeing though iam a nice XDA user i thought id share with the Fire TV community on here. These are all set at the correct size of 1920x1080 which i use on my Amazon Fire TV Stick but im sure they will work the same with all the Amazon Fire TV units. Apply these to your version of Kodi with AdbFire via a laptop or homecomputer.


Guide for sending a custom splashscreen to your Amazon Fire TV device -

1. Download & then open/run AdbFire
2. Click on the New button to setup Adb with your FTV
3. Name your device in the discription section
4. Enter your IP address in the address section
5. Press the save button to save your device
6. Check your device shows up in devices & check Adb is running at the bottom
7. Download the desired kodi splashscreen or folder from below
8. Click File in the top left corner & select Splashscreen
9. Choose the location where you downloaded to & select a splashscreen.png
10. Click open & wait for Adb to push the file to your FTV
