My IMEI has changed and I don't know what has happened. Here's what I have done:
1. Bought a used S3, 9300 international with cracked screen.
2. Changed the screen
3. Tried a call. Worked fine, but the proximity sensor did not work.
4. Did Method 2 on this page: http://www.androidlegend.com/how-to-...samsung-phone/
5. Since the phone now was rooted, I reflashed it but I picked the wrong firmware on sammobil, picked TEN instead of NEE. Both are used in Norway.
6. Went through the wizard, but could not get registered on the network.
7. Reflashed, correctly with NEE this time. Thought that the firmware was to blame. No change.
8. Checked the IMEI and it is a completely different number than what is under the battery.
The IMEI which is under settings reports as a "Digiphone" on imei.info.
What has happened? How can my imei change like that? I did not check the imei before I did method 2 in the link above, but at that time the phone was working.
Is there any way to reset the imei number? This is just the strangest thing :(
