The Elephone P8000 doesn't work with Metro PCS or other carriers (USA)

I can't use the phone with Metro PCS in FL, it just doesn't make/receive any calls/texts.
Is it possible to fix that with a ROM or by a hardware replacement/upgrade?
Please help.
