Need help finding a lollipop kernel that supports PAC rom.

I recently switched from cyanogenmod to pac rom/pacman rom and so far I'm liking it better. But from my understanding the developer of any custom kernel has to include something in the kernel to make it compatible with the pac rom. I've tried hulk kernel, kt/ktoonsez kernel, and more but all of them result in the same thing after installation; it boots up and goes to the "android is starting, optimizing app x out of x" and after it optimizes all the apps, it just restarts and does the same exact thing and is just in a boot loop of that so i have to flash my original kernel. I don't know whether or not this is because the kernels aren't compatible with pac rom. One kernel I've found says it has support for pac rom , which is chronic kernel, which says it has "patch to ramdisk for PACMAN rom" in the changelog, only problem is that it hasn't been updated for a while and only has jb-kk kernels but im running lollipop.

Does it matter if I install a kitkat kernel on lollipop?

Or is there anyway I, not being a developer, can get another non pac rom supported kernel and do the ramdisk patch thing to it?

I'll switch back to cyanogenmod or pa if i absolutely have to, but I'd prefer to keep this rom.
