New case decision

So far I have always used otter box cases on all my phones because I like the extra protection of the screen cover. I do notice that when I take the phone out of the case the screen is more vibrant. I am wondering now if my next case for the 6p would be better without the cover over the summer screen. If I decided to go in that direction do you guys think a tempered glass screen protector would be a good strong option to protect my screen?
