Reverse cast?

Would it be possible to reverse cast whatever is on your tv to your phone? Looking at the vr headgear and wondering if i could play xbox on my tv cast the stream from my tv to my phone then be able to split the screen so i could play xbox in vr? Simple idea but dunno the limitations on this or where to start so figure if anyone had some ideas you could become a hero to millions :) as the android vr headset is so cheap.
