Hi! New user here. I just picked up a note 10.1 GT-N8013 off craigslist and am eager to update to the latest version of android.
All I really care about is s-pen functionality, and having the newest version of S-note, where I can convert handwriting to text, after I have written it. I am a grad student and want to start taking digital notes in all my classes.
Which rom is best suited for this? I have spent the past three hours searching google for answers, and I have been getting mixed reviews. Some say they lose S-pen functionality with CM roms, but then some say 12.1 allows the S-pen. And then I also read that samsung apps cannot be used with custom roms. Is this true? I want to be able to use the latest version of S-note.
Is omniROM, Gnabo ROM or CM ROM better for note taking?
Again, I apologize if these question seem completely noobish. I am new to the tablet world and rooting in general, but I am capable and a fast learner.
