Anyone know of an android based bedside alarm clock W/ Wifi but no phone etc. Should run off mains 240 V power.

Basically I'm looking for an alarm clock that can do flexible alarms and access a caldav etc but which is stationery and does not need charging etc.

[TUT] Changing Lockscreen Clock Hour style to blod

Hi
As promise to @tromine this is simple tutorial that change lockscreen Hour style to bold :D

What You Need:

1. APK Tool for decompiling (i use TMA and Thanks go to Ticklefish)
2. Stock Sony 18.6.A.0.175 rom installed and odex
3. Patience & Time

Lets Start.

First pull: SystemUI, framework-res and SemcGenericUxpRes ( Res are needed so you can properly decompile SystemUI)
Decompile SystemUI and go to SystemUI.apk\res\values folder open styles.xml

Find:

Code:

@dimen/somc_sony_clock_minute_digit_size

1

x-sst

"somc_sony_clock_hour_style" controls Hour numbers
"somc_sony_clock_minute_style" control Min numbers

Add this line:
At "clock_hour_style"

Code:

bold

under

Code:

@dimen/somc_sony_clock_hour_digit_size

At "clock_minute_style" change:

Code:

x-sst

To

Code:

x-sst-light

Now save and you can recompile.
If you want to change size of clock go to SystemUI.apk\res\values open dimens.xml
This are sizes for clock:

Code:

    <dimen name="somc_sony_clock_hour_digit_size">114.0dip</dimen>
    <dimen name="somc_sony_clock_minute_digit_size">108.0dip</dimen>

I changed my like this:

Code:

    <dimen name="somc_sony_clock_hour_digit_size">94.0dip</dimen>
    <dimen name="somc_sony_clock_minute_digit_size">94.0dip</dimen>

So it look smaller :D

@psichokillah want to get rid of the clock on the lockscreen. Is it possible?
The Answer is Yes. ;)

Go to SystemUI.apk\res\layout\somc_sony_clock_view.xml
On First line:

Code:

<com.sonymobile.keyguard.plugin.sonyclock.SonyClock android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" android:orientation="vertical" android:id="@id/sony_clock_root" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"
  xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

Add (android:visibility="invisible") after android:id="@id/sony_clock_root" so it look like this:

Code:

<com.sonymobile.keyguard.plugin.sonyclock.SonyClock android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" android:orientation="vertical" android:id="@id/sony_clock_root" android:visibility="invisible" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"
  xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

Save, recompile Push apk to system. :)

P.S. zips are NOT flashable copy/push them your choice.
How to Install:

1. Copy moded SysteUI to sd_card
2. Reboot to PhilZ_Touch recovery
3. Go to "Mounts and Storage

Default clock app deskclock soemtimes does not start alarm

Hello,

I am having weird issue. I am using default CM12.1S rom with all updates + xposed with few minor modules.

Default clock alarm sometimes does not work, if it is set after few minutes from putting phone it works every-time, but if I use it to wake up in the morning sometimes it does not launch it all ~2 from 7 times.
I can see in status bar that clock is set and time is shown correctly, but sometimes it just does not go off.

And I am not missing it because I can not hear it, alarm goes off just fine on tablet (backup plan to not miss work), then clock should launch it after minute in the phone, but it does not do that.

This started one week ago.

How to go back to bold & light clock widgets ?

Hello,
I am rooted & using the latest version (.200) of the official stock rom from Sony. The .546 version suppressed the bold & light numbers on the widget of Sony's official clock app.
Is there a way to fix it and revert back to the bold & light style wich was a lot better imo ? (I definitly thought Sony would fix it in the .200 update but well ... That's not the case !)

Thank you =)
