Any news on 6.0 for us sph-l720 users?

Anyone know if any dev is making a 6.0 marshmallow unlocked rom for us....for sph-l720 or getting it releases official? Then domestic

Current Activated Project FI Users (your experiences so far)

I've been reading through the forum and the Project Fi waiting room thread kind of touches on my subject but there is some digging that has to be done to find post about how their experience has been so far now that they are on the Fi Network...

I've been activated for about a week now. So far the service has been pretty good. I spend most of my days on WIFI so it's a good fit for me. I've only had a couple issues so far.

1. My office is really big with many APs, when on a call and walking through the building it gets confused on what it should do. As my phone switches between APs it will move the call over to cell towers and then back to wifi and the end user says that I am cutting out really bad...
2. When I don't have WIFI available and connected to the sprint network I cannot use data and talk on the phone at the same time.. I guess this is what all sprint users currently deal with and is a limitation of technology but I've been with ATT for a long time and am not used to this. I don't believe its just because they are CDMA. Verizon has been doing this for a while now, correct?
3. If I'm connected to the sprint network and on a call then move to an area where tmobile has better service, when I get off of the call my service will go unavailable for multiple seconds while it disconnects and reconnects to the tmobile network.
4. Slowness to send and receive sms/mms to other carriers. This is not recreateable and is random.. Maybe 5% of the time.
5. Reduced daily battery life. Maybe 15%ish.. I think I was able to correct a lot of this by limiting background data.

I don't think this thread is duplicated but if it is point me to the correct location.

Multiple Users in CM11

With multiple users on CM11, the phone app is crashing for secondary users. When the second user tries to place a call, I get a crash in com.android.phone:
Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.android.phone/com.android.phone.OutgoingCallBroadcaster}: java.lang.NullPointerException
....
caused by
com.codeaurora.telephone.msim.MSimPhoneFactory.isP romptEnabled(MSimPhoneFactory.java:354)
...

This is happening on both my Fire Phones with CM11, any suggestions welcome. I noticed that the AOKP version of the MSimPhoneFactory.java has an exception handler in the isPromptEnabled method, but I'm not quite to the 'recompile the phone app' yet.

I set up multiple users in this sequence, roughly:
- logged in with my account, set a PIN lock, downloaded my apps.
- created a user for the target child, switched to their account, downloaded ES File Explorer from the Play Store.
- switched back to my account, enabled SuperSU for multiple users (I never remember to do this in advance for some reason...)
- switched back to the child's account, enabled root for ES File Explorer.
- browsed to /data/app and installed the APKs on the subordinate account.
- installed the Appstore APK and logged in.

With the exception of SimCity my Play Store apps seemed to recognize my account as the authorization, and the Amazon apps worked once the Appstore APK was loaded under the user account. Except for the phone crash, this is my ideal setup, and how I have it on our 4.4 tablets.

My next steps:
- hope someone replies to the thread with a suggestion :)
- backup, try the same with SlimKat
- try it with CM11 but set up the child account first.
- Failing all those, go back to the old way of logging my account in on their user. This just feels like going back to Gingerbread though.
- If I get really annoyed, rebuild the phone apk and see if I can get it to work. Not sure that will happen anytime soon; maybe Lollipop (with native users on phone) will come first.

Questions to experienced rooted LG G3 users

So first of all, i've been reading threads on XDA for the pas few years whenever i need to look something up that has to do with android or so but never actually posted myself. I'm making this thread because i couldn't find the answer i want. Excuse me if I don't do this following the guidelines right or anything.

So i want to root my LG G3 because i've rooted my previous phones (Galaxy S and Nexus 4) as well and i liked the roms i was flashing. I didn't really care about missing touchwiz' features when flashing a new rom and Nexus is already running stock so I wasn't worried about that either.

The question is for me now: What LG features will I miss when flashing another rom (E.g. CM12, ParanoidAndroid...) So in terms of the features that LG has put in their skin itself. Also what other remarkable changes will happen? Performance changes? And will I be able to use my camera the original way?

I hope any of you can help me out with this question and enlighten me a bit more.

Multiple users and sim card

Hi, I have a sgp521, 5.1.1. Unrooted.
I use the tablet both in and out house, with an internet sim card, and i have two users (me and my sister), but when i try to connect to internet outdoor with my sister's user it says that there's no internet connection. It only works through wi_fi, and in setting it doesn't show the mobile Internet settings.
In users there's no option for this (well no options at all)
Is there a way to fix this?
I already tried to downgrade and root, but i can't find a proper firmware (italian firmware) and others firmware didn't work well, so i can't use this way.

Switch between ower and users

I have not rooted my yureka and do not wish to do so. Its running on CM12. Is there any way to swap ower and other users account. Multiple user provided in Android 5.0
eg: 'A' has a owner account while 'B' is another user. I want to make 'B' owner and 'A' ordinary user. How shold I do it without factory reset and root?

Hello xda community,

Does anyone know a way to disable lockscreen when multiple users(pic.2) are created on same device running 5.0.2 - 5.1.1? Preferably no-root method.

Calling all tasker, kingroot, and supersume users!

Ok, so I'm new to tasker. I was wondering if anyone has came up with a setup that you auto install kingroot run it, gain root, run xposed and or any other root apps, then runs supersume. Then soft reboots! Pretty much wanna get the whole process automated! I've Googled the topic using different key phrases. And all i could come up with was a post by ice twig that seems dead now. Was just wondering if anyone has successfully done this and would like to share a step-by-step to help people new to tasker and wants to learn to do it manually and get a better understanding of running more difficult task! Or if it hasn't fully been pulled off by someone maybe we can put our heads together and get this process on auto pilot! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated pertaining to the matter :] thank you for taking the time to read! <3
