OK I am running a 5.0.1 ROM, I have tried a few but all have some bug or other that eventually becomes annoying. The 5.0.1 stock is rubbish hence why I stuck a ROM on, I want to go back to stock but not 5.0.1, 4.4.2 for me worked fined, when I used kies to try and downgrade I got an AUTH Error, I presume because KNOX is tripped. Is there any way around this?

Help!! Downgrading to 4.4.4, Need Some Answers
So, i have got a Galaxy alpha G850F sent to me from Portugal (Vodafone) (TCL). I used another sim from another country(country i live in) which works perfectly (No country unlock code asked, i am guessing the phone was somehow unlocked before reaching to me ). The phone had Kitkat 4.4.4 and was rooted. I unrooted it and upgraded to Lollipop 5.0.2. The lollipop version has a problem with recent key and i just want to go back to Kitkat. But i am afraid that if i flash the portugal vodafone TLC firmware via ODIN the phone might get country or carrier locked. Is that possible? Also can i install the BTU(United kingdom) version KITKAT which is bloatware free? WIll it be safe? (NOTE: i get the infamous E:/ unknown volume [:/sbfs] error while wiping data/factory reset via recovery, I have back up of EFS partition)

Help with downgrading: B324 to B120SP04
Hi, I just upgraded my Mate 7 to the latest firmware, from B120SP04 to 324. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing some bugs and it's a bit laggy. So I want to downgrade my Mate 7 to its original firmware, which is the B120SP04.
I have downloaded the B120SP04 from CarbonTesla
I don't know anything much about downgrading, but I did try putting the 'dload' folder inside the SD card and went to 'Settings/Updater/Menu/Local update
My phone rebooted and said, upgrade failed. Its not compatible.
Can anyone show me a step-by-step on how to downgrade?
Thank you! :)
BTW, I'm using TL10

RootXperia Toolkit 2015/09/26 (Or how to Root 4.4.4 without downgrading)
Hey guys!
First, before ANYONE says it, NO, this is NOT my work, it's made by CubeundCube, a (great) Japanese developer, that made this new version of rootXperia to exploit the famous CVE-2015-3636 (a.k.a. PingPong), so, go thank him in Twitter!
Unfortunately for us, this vulnerability is not present anymore in the kernel (as a great man said, Sony is not dumb :p), but in case anyone wants to root his/her device under 4.4.4, this is your option if you don't want to downgrade your kernel to 4.3 as Miche1asso tutorial, or root using Kingroot, which provides lot's of headaches (trust me...) and some people report that it sends info to a chinese server (who knows, maybe your IMEI info...!). At least this tool is much safer. :)
Where to download / What do we need?
Go to this link and download the zip file.
PLUS: You'll also need an adb pack, so you can use mine; and a ric disabler tool. You can use this modified EasyRootTool. Original one was made by zxz0O0, so thank him too.
How to use?
Hope you find this method easier for rooting 4.4.4. Don't forget to thank all people mentioned in this thread!

How to use?
- Unpack the zip to a folder in your desktop. Then open my ADB Pack 'Herramientas-de-flasheo.zip' and unpack the files inside the exact same folder you unpack the rootXperia toolkit zip. To check if you've done it correctly, take into account that the adb.exe and install.bat should be in the same folder.
- Now, connect your phone with USB Debugging enabled. [To enable it go to: Settings, info about device, hit 7~8 times in Comp. Number, press back, go to Dev options, and enable USB Debugging].
If you get prompted with a 'Authorize USB Debugging' window on your phone, hit on Remember and OK. - Open the install.bat and wait until it says '--- all finished ---'. The phone will self reboot once during the process, don't worry.
- Now unpack the modified EasyRootTool, open it, and execute the install.bat. It'll ask on your device for root permissions, so hit Allow. Once it finishes, unplug your phone and you're ready to go!

Downgrading to Android 4.4?
I am very upset with low battery life. It holds the charge ok while I am not doing anything, but overheats when I use the internet, GPS or camera. Power loss is about 20% per hour, which is unacceptable. I am shocked how come they can even bring such products to the market.
I recall that power consumption significanlty increased when I upgraded Sony Xperia Z1 from Android 4.4 to 5.
I have a rooted LG G4.
I want to install android 4.4 on it. Is it possible to install standard version of Android 4.4 or the phone will stop working?

IMEI unknown after downgrading ROM
My phone was stuck in a bootloop with 5.1.1 (stock) installed. I have since flashed all the versions backwards until 4.2.2, which finally worked! Horray! However, my IMEI number is now lost :(
IMEI: Unkown
IMEI SV: Unknown
Any ideas on how to get them back? I've been searching around and found some solutions for other devices (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2180459) but does anyone know how to fix this problem with a Nexus 4?
I'm currently running cm-10.1.3.1-signed which is Cyanogenmod's equivalent of 4.2.2
