Got a new alpha and I have a few questions

So I got a new galaxy alpha (850F) which is an amazing phone by the way :) but i have a few questions
1) I noticed that sometimes the signal drops to 0 bars for a few seconds then comes back again, is that normal because of the metal frame or what ?
2)How much does the battery take to charge ?
3) I am still on Kitkat 4.4.4 and the lollipop OTA hasn't arrived where I live yet (I don't think it's coming anytime soon) so what's the best course of action, should I stay on kitkat ? Which official rom can I flash using ODIN ? Is there a toolkit for rooting and installing a custom recovery ?
If there are tutorials for these things I'll be thankful.

[App] [Alpha] MouseMote - control your computer with motion

Hi!

We are looking for alpha testers for our new app. The app requires an android phone with gyroscope, magnetometer and compass (you can send your phone model with pm and I will check if it meets the requirements). Also the app requires a computer with a Bluetooth connection.

We are looking for test users with different kind of phones to ensure compatibility with all kinds of models. Also it would be nice to have users with different operating systems for their computers (Windows / OS X / Linux/Unix).

About the app: The app allows you to control your computer mouse by moving your phone around the air. It uses the motion sensors in your phone to detect the angle at which you hold your phone and translates the movement into mouse movements. In essential you are able to use your phone kind of like the Wiimote.

If you are interested, send your email with pm.
