Galaxy S3 I9300 Problems

Hey guys,

I'm from India and I bought the AT&T version, unlocked I think. The build number on the device is JSS15J.I9300ZSENA1. It runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean and is the Pebble Blue version.

I'm using Reliance carrier on it and having frequent call drops, connectivity issues and texting problems as well. Then I get this security notice which asks me to boot the device repeatedly and I don't have any clue why that happens.

Now, my main problem is that I can't use the device for calling purposes as well texting.

So, how can I fix this? When I tried to update the firmware, I found the At&t text on it. That made me think that this might be the right place to post. Anyway, will changing the ROM to a Custom one like Cyanogen help to fix this issue? I need some help with this as I spent some decent bucks on it.

Changing Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 housing from white to black.

Currently I'm in the middle of changing the full housing for my Note N7000. The original colour is White but I wanted to change it to Black. The problem is, the 2nd screen with white layout is sticked with the LCD behind of it.

Is it possible for me to transfer it to the new 2nd screen? I'll provide the picture with it later on.
Any replies are much appreciated.

Verizon Galaxy S3 4.4.2 Rooted Custom Recovery Question

Looked through google, looked through threads, can find nothing whatsoever to help.

Have Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III Unlocked running Straight Talk VIA sim card. Everything works.. as a regular old phone with root. (rooted with Kingoroot - basically I googled "root galaxy s3" and followed those steps.. that much works fine, though it is not to be confused with the chinese king root. I tried the trick of swapping out king root for SU and, well.. yeah didnt work.)
Problem is I'm running 4.4.2 (the dreaded locked bootloader) and everything I try when it comes to installing custom recovery either doesn't work, bootloops the phone, or hard bricks it. v_v
so as someone who backs up their backups, (thank you OCD fairy), running around with a phone I can't backup puts me on edge, to say the least.
tried safestrap (says not secured. still says not secured after install. does nothing.)
tried various CWM and TWRP via apk installs (whatever that app is you install then tell it to install cwm) ..wouldn't install
Odin, depending on which version I install, either gives me errors or hardbricks my device.
SO.. I'm looking for someone who has a Verizon Galaxy S III and who has a custom recovery on it to tell me how the devil they managed that one.

Galaxy S3 gt I9300 Straight Talk bricked

Hello and thanks for looking at my post, I have a straight talk galaxy s3 with a 8gb sd card from straight-talk wireless, I tried to install cyanogenmod (latest) using CWM with the firmware on my phone downgraded to H1 (so I could have root). After this happened, I tried letting the phone charge and seeing what was wrong, I found out 2 things
1) The phone will NOT boot into recovery or anything else, even with a jig
2) The computer makes a sound when I plug the phone in, but I cannot access any of the files
3) Phone is not recognized by ADB
The only light I get from my phone is a solid red light when that only happens when I take the battery out and plug in the phone with a USB(The light is a solid RED)
I do have a read/write tool for micro sd to computer, but I do not know if it would help me, I am at wits end and am very frustrated at this sudden brick, please help if you can.
Any and all help you can give me is well appreciated, thank you in advance, if you need any other information please don't hesitate to PM me or reply.

[Q] Extra Security for my Galaxy S6 Edge

I live in Venezuela, one of the most dangerous countries in the world - safety regarded, if not, the most unsafe.
I have been sporting my GS6 Edge without any problem but i don't know when i can be the subject of a gunpoint theft, kidnap, common theft etc.

I wish to do an extreme makeover of my S6 Edge security settings. I have the fingerprint scanner but i do wish to have extra security level. Such as when i open certain app, it prompts me for a particular password. Yes, i'm willing to input a password every time i open certain applications in my phone....

Is there anything as it? That i can download and ask me a password for gmail, whatsapp,bbm... etc. Gallery......

I'm not rooted, and have never clicked on the Encrypt device thing, what does it does? Can i see a video? Can i de-encrypt in case i do not like the encrypt option? I need ideas for a better security than the fingerprint. If a thief gets my phone he might be able to see my personal info/family things. etc.

Also. 2. What are the better options for remote wipping, locate my GS6 etc. I just need to pay more attention to my devices security. Better be cautious than sorry.

Bricked Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Please help!!

Hi all !
So two days ago i wanted to update my Sm-t310 to 4.4.2 from the tab itsself, but it wasn't possible, because i had rooted it before. So i tried to remove my root and then something happened and my tab got stuck in firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again charging battery screen.. i looked for solutions with both kies and odin, but they get stuck at 7% while flashing????? Nothing seems to work, i tried it even through the philz recovery mode after wiping cache and deleting cache partition, but it only gets stuck at the boot loop and then when i try to flash it with odin it gets stuck on system.img at about 7%... I really don't know what to do :crying: Please help me, I am desperate !

Galaxy S3 doe not charge when turned off

Hello dear members,
Last night before going to bed, I launched the OTA update of my Galaxy S3 LTE looking for possible updates and the I turned off the mobile and plugged it into the charger as usual. In the morning I discovered that it didn't charge at all.
I re-plugged the charger but nothing, it was not charging and it showed nothing on the screen nor the LED red light was working.
When I turned on the phone I noticed that it was charging normally. I kept the phone plugged into the charger and turned it off. The phone didn't switch off but it REBOOTED.
I noticed that if the phone is plugged into the charger the switching off will not work but instead the phone will reboot. not boot loop but it reboots just once.

I did "wipe cash" but nothing changed.
Please, help me???

[HOWTO] Share screen and mirroring to chromecast on the Galaxy Tab 2

This is a quick tip to get chromecast screen share (or screen mirroring working). As you know, the latest official version from Samsung is the android 4.2.2, which doesn't have the screen mirroring feature. It has the ability to share specific apps via the chromecast app, however not all media apps appear there, games, etc. The errors that you may get if doesn't work properly are:

- Screen Casting is not optimized for this device; your experience may vary
- Casting screen to chromecast has ended

The rom that works is for the Galaxy Tab 2 P5100:

Just click on the share icon on the notification toolbar and there you go. You don't even need the chromecast app except if you want to send specific apps (faster). If there's any issue and the screen goes black and stays black, or goes black and then quits, try changing the tablet DPI to 100 and try again. Then switch back to DPI 160 and should work:

- Connect via adb to the tablet

- To view current dpi:

After doing the dpi change from the first time the chromecast should notice and work from now on. Most or all 4.4.4+ roms should work.

Network issue with Galaxy S5 SM-G900FD

I'm using this phone in India with Aircel Dual SIMs.
Galaxy S5 SM-G900FD--KLTE Duos

SIM-1 : Aircel--WCDMA/GSM
SIM-2: Aircel--GSM

Only by SIM-1 , I'm able to make and receive calls...
SIM-2 if I use no audio at all......

On the other hand if I change SIM-2 to WCDMA/GSM, I'm able to make calls...
But SIM-1 if I use no audio....

Kindly suggest me a solution...
Already my device is rooted.

Samsung Galaxy S6 cannot see a Wi-fi Network

Hi,

I am on holiday in the Costa del Sol and the hotel has free wi-fi.

My Windows 7 laptop and my daughter's Windows 10 laptop, and my HTC One M8 phone can all see the hotel wi-fi network listed after a network scan, and can all connect after entering the password. The signal is strong, 6 bars.

However, my daughter's new Samsung Galaxy S6 cannot see the hotel wif-fi network after a scan at all, but does see various other distant wi-fi networks.

We have tried rebooting the S6, but no joy.

If it helps, using my laptop, it tells me the following about the connection:

Security Type: WPA2-Personal
Encryption Type: AES

Anyone any idea why the S6 does not see this network, while all our other devices can see it no problem?

Galaxy S4 I9515 VE Edition - No touch HELP!

Hi all,

I have ran into a few problems whilst flashing the stable Cyanogenmod 10.2.1-jfltetmo and im hoping someone can help me.

Problems:
1) I have no touch screen with CM :(

2) I am currently using CWM v6.0.4.7(no touch) and it is not letting me mount my internal SD for me to add another zip to flash and test if that works :confused:

3) The backups that i did prior to flashing are throwing an 'MD5 mismatch' at me, therefore i can't restore back to stock. :confused:


Could anyone help me with ANY of the above issues for me to have a functioning phone again :crying:

Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910G 5.0.1- Can I Install INU Firmware In INS Device?

Im currently using samsung galaxy note 4 SM-N910G running lollipop 5.0.1 version.
But i didnt like lollipop much.so i decided to downgrade from lollipop 5.0.1 to kitkat 4.4.4.so i searched for the firmware in sammobile.there i found two firmware variations for indian model as SM-N910G (INU) and SM-N910G (INS).my device is INS model.but for INS ,only lollipop firmwares are available but for INU devices kitkat and lollipop are present.SO my doubt is .....both the firmwares are for SM-N910G Indian mobiles.so can i flash kitkat 4.4.4 INU firmware in my INS device?.will there be any problem?.kindly help me....thanks in advance
