AOSP Keyboard on Stock Rom
As the above title really, I've been on CM roms with most of my android phones, and I really miss the keyboard. I'm trying to get used to a phone without root as we will loose Android Pay when it comes to the UK if it's rooted.
Anybody know of a way to install the AOSP Keyboard, or get the punctuation on long press on the standard Google one without rooting?
Cheers

Closest Thing To AOSP? (5.1.1 or 6.0)
Hi there,
I've done a bit of searching, and not found much, so I thought I would ask. What ROM is the closest I can get to having fully functional AOSP on my device, and how would I go about rooting it?
I have built Android 5.1.1 and Android 6 for my device as per Sony's instructions but I hear 6.0 is not stable enough, and I'm not sure about how to go about rooting 5.1.1.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

6.0 aosp rom w sprint support
I've tried a couple AOSP-based Marshmallow ROMs and none of them have the option to update Profile and Prl for Sprint. I know by definition AOSP shouldn't have this, since it's something propietary however is there a zip out there one can flash to bring this capability? I don't know if it's possible to take whatever allows this in the Factory Image and make it an add-on for all devs to possibly offer for their ROMs. But that would be :D.
Anyone working on an AOSP rom
I'm really tired of TW I wanna change and try out unique roms like AOSP rom or MIUI rom. Is there anyone working on it and how is it going on?. If I have known how to do it, you all would've been using it now.
[REQUEST] Note 4 n910c AOSP Marshmallow 6.0
hey guys, many of non-developer note 4 users (like me), uses AOSP Roms because of Samsung's TouchWiz may be loaded with tons of features we don't use or we enjoy more the Android Stock (Nexus) Experience. Since the first instruction from Google of Android M to the public, and it comes with plenty of new awesome features like doze, android pay, google now on tap, etc...
My request are the following (but even with only one of them achieved i would be very grateful and donate to devs):
-AOSP n910c Marshmallow 6.0 port
-Android Marshmallow 6.0 updated GAPPS on a flashable zip file compatible with AOSP 5.1.1
-Google Now on Tap support for AOSP 5.1.1
-Doze and App permissions support for AOSP 5.1.1
-Android Pay working on Rooted Devices
-A guide to help non-developers to create our own 6.0 port, even if later it shows bugs (if it doesn't end in bootloop, that's enough)
i will donate to the developers who can achieve at least one of these requests, good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
Greetings from Montevideo, Uruguay.

Searching for AOSP ROM
Hi guys !
I have actually the SeXy v5 ROM on Lollipop with stock interface but i'd like to try an AOSP ROM because it seems to be more personalizable (animation etc)
Which ROM do you think is better ? I need a stable version without bug (no nightlies), i want something with a good battery life, very fast and reactive (i would love something like the new Iphone ..)
I'm on Android since 5 years (Galaxy S, One X and now G3) but with different ROM, i had never the same level of smoothness as Apple
Thanks
(sorry for my possible mistakes, english is not my native language)

Building AOSP Marshmallow - are files still missing from the binary driver Zips?
Hi, i'm building AOSP Marshmallow to flash onto a Nexus 5 - are critical files still missing from the Binary drivers like they were for KitKat & Lollipop?
If so, is there a list of what files are missing from the zips, and where they should go once found? (I presume I need to find them in the system image still)?

when is it possible to port marshmallow (aosp) to osprey?
When wil it be possible to port marshmallow to our device? i've seen it with the nexus 4 and a few other devices.
and if it's not possible Why not? and why others phones do?
thanks,

Fix bugs in Xperia AOSP ROM
So I built Android Marshmallow AOSP for the Xperia Z3 using Sony's binaries which resulted in the ROM having no SIM functionality, minor graphic and performance glitches and absence of sound, camera and rotation.
Anyone know how I can get a fully working build? Thank you :)

[Q] How do I properly use a prebuilt kernel with AOSP?
I'm trying to build AOSP for Moto X 2013 (ghost). I've successfully built the kernel separately already (and flashed it to my device to make sure it works) but I can't seem to find a way to tell AOSP to use it. I get the following error when running make -j16 otapackage:
No private recovery resources for TARGET_DEVICE ghost
make: *** No rule to make target `out/target/product/ghost/kernel', needed by `out/target/product/ghost/boot.img'. Stop.
I've already tried to add this line to device.mk:
LOCAL_KERNEL := device/motorola/ghost-kernel/zImage
But it did nothing.
Any ideas?

Gathering team to port 6.0 AOSP to the S5
Hi everyone,
I currently found an AOSP 6.0 Marshmallow port for the OnePlus One. I'm a slight new to this but im ready and willing to learn how to do all of this from source. The OnePlus One has the same chipset, cpu, and gpu so it shouldnt be impossible to get this up and running. Anyone interested in contributing to the cause pm me or post on this thread :D.

[ROM] Sero 7 Pro - AOSP 6.0.0 - DoPa6 v0
DoPa6 v0 is the first release of a Marshmallow ROM for Sero 7 Pro owners worldwide.
v0 is of alpha quality, i.e. experimental and unstable. It is usable but not full-featured - that will take many months to achieve. Sero 7 Pro owners looking for a stable, reliable upgrade should install my DoPa5 Lollipop ROM.

v0 is of alpha quality, i.e. experimental and unstable. It is usable but not full-featured - that will take many months to achieve. Sero 7 Pro owners looking for a stable, reliable upgrade should install my DoPa5 Lollipop ROM.
Working
- WiFi
- Audio - except BT audio
- Camera
- GPS
- USB-OTG - except storage
- NFC - see Notes and Bugs below
- SELinux - enforcing
- SuperSU
- External Storage - SDcard, USB storage
- Bluetooth - see Notes and Bugs below
- DRM
- backup your data so you can easily return to Lollipop
- wipe your '/data' partition (a "Factory reset" in TWRP will work)
- install sero7pro-aosp600-dopa6-v0.zip
- install sero7pro-gapps-dopa6-v0.zip
- reboot
- Bluetooth - don't even try to enable it! You'll get continuous FCs in Bluetooth Share that will force you to reboot.
- NFC - this works but uses Bluetooth to transfer data, so it isn't really usable now.
- Launcher - Launcher3 FCs whenever it is visible and you rotate the screen (but it does restart). It also FCs if you rotate while in an app, then return to the Home screen in a different orientation than the one last visible.
- Multi-Window - this actually works :) To enable it, open Settings->Developer Options, then scroll down to the "Drawing" section. Multi-window mode is the last item in that category.
- sero7pro-aosp600-dopa6-v0.zip - the ROM
- sero7pro-gapps-dopa6-v0.zip - a bare-bones Gapps package compatible with this build
- sero7pro-twrp287-dopa5-v1.3.zip a customized version of TWRP Recovery v2.8.7 usable on all versions of the Sero 7 Pro
AOSP builds for Z5C
Hi guys
Thought I should start a thread for various AOSP builds people are doing for their Sony Z5Compact. We can trouble shoot errors and generally take advantage of the way Sony encourage open source development for their devices.
Ill get the ball rolling.
Here is AOSP 5.1.1_r18 system, boot & recovery for Z5C.
https://mega.nz/#!dkBxTLja
1. Make back up of stock sony partition.img however you like. 2. Download link. 3. Un-zip file. 4. Flash .img files via fastboot. 5. Let me know if the boot and run.
Its not the "latest build" being 5.1.1_r18 however I thought if these .img files boot and run I will make a rooted version of system.img and maybe start trying to build a custom recovery.
I would test these .img files my self, however I dont own a Z5C ....YET!...
**NOTE.** Sony has included SU in system/xbin of there AOSP build, however no busy Box.
If anyone makes a newer build ie Android 6.0 feel free to post it in this thread
Regards

[Fix] Install Google Gapps on stock build aosp marshmallow (fix google play service)
first you'll need the ota.zip of the build you made of marshmallow in /sdcard
you'll also want to download this gapps: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347835438
Im not sure if other gapps will work, but this is the one that worked for me.
flash your stock aosp ota marshmallow .zip through your recovery (twrp or cwm)
then flash the gapps
reboot your phone...
soon you'll reach the setup screen. You're going to start seeing the Google Play Services errors flash on the screen but disappear. That's ok. Get through the setup wizard and you'll see your new google homescreen. Except if you run anything Google you'll get the Google Play services errors. So lets fix that.
Go to settings -> apps
Click on the three dots on top right and show system.
Taps on Google play services
Tap on permissions
And turn everything on
Now go and download the google apps your want and the google play services error won't pop up anymore. All this has to do with how Google changed the permissions in the apps. Im sure someone better than me will find a better way to fix this and this is just a temp fix.

Is it impossible to flash an AOSP rom on a rooted AT&T S5 Active?
Hello!
I've done some reading and having not gotten a satisfactory answer I thought I'd throw my question out to the community.
I'm currently running Twisted Lollipop v7.
I can Odin back to stock 4.4.2 whenever and redo towelroot and install safestrap etc.
I've been unsuccessful at flashing an AOSP rom and wanted to confirm once and for all if it is truly impossible to flash Blisspop or Cyanogenmod or Sonic or any of those I enjoyed on my trusty old S3 onto my unlocked At&T S5 Active.
If it is not possible I will get rid of this unlocked AT&T S5 active and get a used what? The T-mobile variant? The international variant? I just want to be able to flash whatever the hell I want without too much hassle! I do like the phone other than that though!
Looking forward to any advice!
Thanks!
