Honor 6 L12 activate 4g data

Hello all,
I am looking for some help to activate 4g data on my Honor 6 L12.
I bought it but it is a Chinese version and as i investigate in the web it has 4g but it comes with the frequencies looked due to some Chinese rules...
I found some websites talking about this and with some instructions on how to activate it but cant figure it out.
I was thinking if someone here already had this problem and if you could kindly share the solution with me.
I found this:
http://www.gizok.com/blog/huawei-hon...-lte-function/
but cant download the tool.
I have a 4g compatible sim card but I can only navigate on 3,5G.
many thanks,
best regards,

Huawei HONOR 4A

Hi all,

I have just travelled to China and bought a Huawei Honor 4A smartphone; now, in Spain (Europe), this device works, GSM is ok, but I can not play Gmail, or Google Maps, or Play Store, Google Chrome, G+, etc...

Here, in XDA, I have read about HONOR 4X; what do you think? its ok if I make this model ROM for my 4A? Do you think I must wait for specific development for my 4A?

What can I do? :(
Thanks

Honor 6 : which is the correct build for Honor 6 in the UK?

Hi

I have had a bit of a disaster with my new Honor 6. It came with

kitkat, but I saw a link to install Lollipop for local update (ie don't

wait for OTA). (I am in the UK by the way)

Installed ok, but then the keyboard disappeared only voice commands were available,

and it seemed it was the Indian version. I tried to roll back using

B500 then to B396 but seemed to have intermittent problems connecting

to Google Play. I have had this before on a Chinese sourced Huawei

which I believe was because the firmware wouldn't allow authentication

with Google Play - well not more than once or twice, then would lose

it.
I have finally managed to get to build H60-L04V100R001C00B396 and it

*seems* to be happy with Play at the moment. I factory reset and oddly

it asked me to select the Vodafone type from a dropdown (including

prepay and postpay - wtf?) and couldn't get Vodafone data working until

I tinkered with the APN which I hadn't had to do with the original

install.

Also I am on EMUI 3.0 not 3.1 - is this directly linked to the build number?

Bottom line : am I on the right version for the UK and should be ok

with google Play going forward - and will be able to upgrade to

Lollipop when it hits UK via OTA?

If not, what should I do?

Sorry for long post, but any help gratefully received.

Huawei Honor 4c - Kernel compilation and boot.img creation [help appreciated]

Hi all

I compiled new kernel from source - Lollipop kernel- for the chm-u01 and want to replace my zImage to the stock boot.img to test it, but i can't do it.

When i extract stock boot.img i get all this files

Quote:

ramdisk
boot.img-base
boot.img-cmdline
boot.img-kernel
boot.img-kernel_offset
boot.img-pagesize
boot.img-ramdisk_offset
boot.img-ramdisk-compress
boot.img-tags_offset

Here is the log for extraction

Code:

Magic = ANDROID!
 magic_offset = 0x00000000
 page_size = 2048            (00000800)
 board = ''
 base = 0x07478000
 kernel_addr = 0x07480000
 kernel offset = 0x00008000
 kernel_size = 20346584            (013676d8)
 ramdisk_addr = 0x0f000000
 ramdisk offset = 0x07b88000
 ramdisk_size = 3698022            (00386d66)
 second_addr = 0x08300000
 second offset = 0x00e88000
 second_size = 0            (00000000)
 tags_addr = 0x09e00000
 tags offset = 0x02988000
 cmdline = 'hisi_dma_print=0 vmalloc=384M maxcpus=8 coherent_pool=512K no_irq_affinity androidboot.selinux=enforcing ate_enable=true'
 dt_size = 0            (00000000)

Till here everything ok

All files are very tiny except boot.img-kernel cause is where kernel resides
If i try to open it with 7-zip inside it i have 2 files

Name-----------Size------------Compressed size-------Characteristics
.reloc-------------0-----------------------0-----------------InitializedData DiscardableRead 0x100000
.text----------2034632---------------2034632------------Code Execute Read Write 0x500000

Tried to replace my compiled zImage name to boot.img-kernel but when all repacked to a boot.img and flashed it trough Fastboot on power phone stuck on logo

If anyone is interested to help here are the
stock boot.img
My compiled zImage

Used tool for spliting boot.img was CarlivImageKitchen-Windows_v1.0 both on windows and Ubuntu

Trebuchet 1.0 on official Honor 5.1.1 rom

Hi,
I have recently upgraded my H60-L04 to lollipop 5.1.1. Fortunately everything has gone well. In the previous rom I installed trebuchet 1.0 and I used this launcher instead of the default one. Also in lollipop trebuchet works well, but I read few days ago that emui 3.1 was very innovative, so I uninstalled trebuchet and set the new emui 3.1 launcher. Unfortunately I don't like it and so I decided to re-install trebuchet. I have tried every method (downloading various "trebucket.apk", using apps on the store that lets you install CM apps) but when I try to install trebuchet my phone doesn't let me install it. I have also activated the "unknown origins" feature, but it doesn't work anyway. Can someone help me? Thank you all.

Honor 4x Che1-L04 Bootloader Unlock and Recovery flash - How I Did It

I waited two months for a bootloader unlock code from Huawei. Then posted on facebook pages of Huawei and Honor about not getting it. Then I got it myself some days ago without much hassle. Here's how I did it:

Getting unlock code:

1. Go to http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=un...k&action=apply

2. Open Huawei account if needed. Then you'll find a page where there'll be lots of text with a checkmark below. Check it and click the button below.

3. You'll be on the unlock page now.

4. Select the second option from the first box.

5. Select the first option from second box.

6. In the third field put your Serial Number. (Can be found written on the battery)

7. In the fourth field put your IMEI. (only the first one is needed)

8. In the fifth field put the code as shown in the image.

9. Click the blue button below all fields.

10. If failed put the image code and retry. It gets done in about two to three tries.

You will now have the 16 digit bootloader unlock code. Save it somewhere.

Unlock process:

1. Set up ADB and Fastboot from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...8#post48915118.

2. Turn off your phone. Connect to PC while holding volume down button release after there's a vibration feedback.

3. Open CMD in your fastboot location. Type "fastboot devices" (without quotation). If it returns a code with your device then it's connected.

4. Type "fastboot oem unlock XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" (without quotation where XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is the code you got from huawei site).

Bootloader should be unlocked.

Recovery flash:

1. Download recovery from http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...overy-t3199386.

2. Put it in your adb fastboot folder.

3. If your phone is still connected in fastboot mode it should show unlocked.

4. Check by running "fastboot devices" again.

5. Now type "fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img" (without quotation and recoveryname.img should be the recovery you downloaded and it should be in the folder where adb and fastboot is)

Recovery should now be flashed and ready for action.

[Q] - Honor 6 plus - 3d photos - how to export them to PC in 3D?

Hi

Probably you have noticed that now with latest update Honor 6 plus can display the "wide aperture" photos in 3D - I love this feature!!!
As a fan of home-made 3d photos I have been using 3rd party apps to create MPO files or JPS.

I have noticed that "flat" JPG has 1MB-ish. JPG with 3d info in it is about 6x as big.
The photo still appears to be form of JPG as changing the extension to JPS or MPO does not work.
Would you have any idea how to extract the 3d photo and export them to any popular 3d photo format?

Thank you.

Honor 7 Video is just grey lines

Hi,

My Honor 7 PLK-L01 has lasted three weeks before spontaneously switching to a series of vertical grey lines on the video. Reboot doesn't change this. The lines and brightness go dark and then change during the reboot. I know it's still running the OS as I can contact the phone. But rebooting doesn't change anything.

Has anything seen anything like this and have any suggestions? It looks like a hardware fault on the screen/video circuitry to me, but open to suggestion
