Home button on s6 broke, should I unroot before going to att?

So the home button on my s6 doesn't seem to press anymore. I am currently rocking a custom rom and want to know whether I should go back to stock before I take the phone into att. I know att can be the devil so I'm wondering what your opinion about this is.

[Q] Should I buy the Tab Pro 10.1 still?

You still can get the Tab Pro 10.1 from various (over 60 webshops in Germany have it in stock) dealers new in box.
It is sold for 290€

There is obviously the Tab S2 9.7 with a different aspect ratio, but it is more expensive at ~450€.

I would settle with the older Tab Pro 10.1 if it is snappy enough. So how is the performance with stock rom and how is it with CM12.1?
Is it worth getting it in new condition?

I want to use it at home obviously for surfing and social media and maybe to view some photos (picture frame-like).

can anybody help/tell me which line should i change to turn status bar into blue color?
i try to change it on any xml files on res/values/color.xml (on decompiled whatsapp app) but it still green (see attachment).

Am On 2.19.14.22 ... Can't Update Anymore.. Which Version Should I Flash Next?

hello!
After trying multiple times, my ZF2 doesn't install an update. I click install it goes to recovery screen and then after a few seconds, dead bot appears. I think I gotta flash a full system image. 2 Questions :

1) Will I Lose All My Data After Flashing A System Image?
2) In this link ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...43&postcount=3 ) there are many firmwares. The list is as follows :

V2.20.40.61 CN
V2.20.40.59 CN
V2.20.40.59 WW
V2.19.40.21 JP
V2.19.40.22 WW
V2.19.40.20 WW

As you can see, there is no WW firmware after 2.19.40.22. So should I just download the "V2.20.40.59 WW" and flash it?

New Tab, Should I root BEFORE OTA updating, of AFTER ?

I've just had my new Yoga 2 1050F yesterday, and of course, I want it rooted...

But, I have a question here, Should I Root it BEFORE updating Android or AFTER ? (With OTA update)
Actually I'm on 4.4.2.

And which tool is prefered for rooting Lenovo Tab's ? It's my first one (before i've own ACER A20FHD, and Motorola Xoom2, all rooted.)

Should we upgrade to 5.1 ?

Hi, I have D2403 with zexperience installed on it and I wanted to hear your guys oppinions on 5.1.I have locked bootloader and I can't unlock it and I dont understand is it safe to root now or no with Locked BL? Is it worth to update 5.1 or should i stay with my current system etc..?

Dissapointed in Sony camera, what should I switch to?

Hi, not sure if its the right place to ask, but why not :)
I have bought my Z3C back in February, new, from the shop. I upgraded from Sony Acro S.
The only reason I did that is that lens cover got all smudged and scratched, so photo were blurry.
I got z3 compact, I did, and still think it very nice phone. Battery life is amazing, I love the size of it. But same as with Acro S, lens cover is once again getting weird smudges.

If there is any light source, pictures are bad, and I do need camera to take normal pictures. And I did read the thread about it, and that I can try toothpaste etc, but I wont do this I might take it back to the shop and they will replace the back cover, but will help for another few months? And I did have camera lens protector (that is made for LG phones) but it doesn't help with picture quality.
So my question is - with what would you replace it? I love the size of the phone and it has to tolerate humidity, rain, some water. Is there anything that could compare to z3c in these regards and have a decent lens protection? Samsung S5? S6 active is not to my liking (too rugged :) )
How about Z5C does it have the same same problem?

Should I be worried about my device being remotely accessed(hacked)?

Long story short.. I believe my Galaxy S5 runing CM12.1 is being hacked by an individual I have upset.

Symptoms include:
-Gmail account password changed(not by me)
-SMS from email addresses, spam.
-SMS from random numbers with random characters (vs6ve&$+ugevbs)
-Root icon in status bar wont turn off anymore
-Recent task list showed my system files being accessed by my file manager app when I did NOT access.
-Tons of FC's from all kinds of apps

I have wiped all possible partitions in TWRP 2.8.5.0 and reinstalled newer CM12.1 nightly.. No change.

Changed my cell number, wiped, only enable root when needed, and contantly disable mobile data out of paranoia..

STILL got 1 text from random number with random characters on first day after changing my number and wiping..

Should I buy a Nexus 5X US model for use outside US;

The ~35% price difference between US ans UK purchases of Nexus 5X had me thinking about finding a way to get a Nexus 5X from US.

My concern is, will I have any issues with the device, if I use it in a european country (I live in Greece)? For instance 4G not working or other connectivity issues.

What should I be aware of before making that move?

Rooting the H815: Should I unlock the bootloader or not?

I have received my new LG G4 H815 (EU) phone today and I definitely want to root the phone. Now I'm asking myself whether I should unlock the bootloader or not.

As far as I understand, there are two completely different options for getting root access to the device:
1. Register on LG site, officially unlock bootloader, install TWRP image via fastboot, install root via TWRP

2. Walk through the instructions in this thread:

According to the thread you should disable OTA upgrades after rooting it and there is always the possibility that LG patches this rooting method with future Android Upgrades. However, I do want to upgrade the Android system image from time to time (LG will probably provide an upgrade to Android 6.0 sooner or later). Will upgrading the Android system (without loosing root) be less problematic when I unlock the bootloader now? As far as I understand it so far, you can easily root it again after an upgrade if you have unlocked the bootloader. Is that correct? Can I still use OTA upgrades when the bootloader is unlocked and TWRP is installed? I don't mind running fastboot to reinstall TWRP after an upgrade but I don't really like to manually download each Android upgrade from shady mirror sites instead of using the official LG OTA updater.

I do know that unlocking the bootloader will void the warranty and that some Apps may refuse to work no an unlocked device. I'm ok with that and I want to have the phone permanently rooted and install updates (without loosing root) with as little trouble as possible.

Since unlocking the bootloader will wipe everything, I want to do it either now (before setting up the phone) or never. So what would you recommend?

[Guide] How to get Facebook Sync to work. [Should work for all phones]

So after having an issue getting my Facebook to sync with my contacts I went through a lot of effort to find a solution. I eventually found the issue that was causing Facebook not to sync. At some point the Facebook app removed the sync option entirely from their app. Older versions had an option that you could enable contact syncing.
So to fix the problem first uninstall Facebook.

The next step is to go to Settings->Security and tick the option Unknown sources. This will allow you to sideload apps.
Then go to http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/faceboo...-apk-download/ and download the Facebook apk.
Then open up a file explorer and go to your downloads folder.
Tap the apk you just installed and then click install. You may need to press next a few times first or scroll down through the permissions.
After this press login and once you're at the main page for the app press the menu button.
Tap Settings.
Scroll all the way to the bottom where you will find Sync Contacts.
Tap Sync Contacts where you will be given three options. Choose the one that best suits your needs.
After that go to your phone's settings again
Find and tap Accounts & Sync
Tap the plus sign
Tap Facebook
Go through all you need to go through
Then when your back at the Accounts & Sync page tap Facebook
Make sure the checkbox next to Contacts is checked
At this point you can go to your People app and sync your contacts



I highly recommend you make sure Facebook cannot auto-update
To do this go to Play Store
Tap the three bars at the upper left
Tap My Apps
Go to Facebook and tap it
Then press the menu button
A menu should popup that has an Auto-update option with a checkmark. Make sure it is unchecked.


A little side note you will get notifications in Facebook to update. Just ignore them you do not have to update.

Should I Send Back This Phone?

I got the samsung galaxy s6 from AT&T as 'Basically new', which means someone got the phone, just didn't want it and sent it back. Nothing is wrong with it they just didn't want it. Anyway, I want to root this phone but I cant because its on LRX22G.G920AUCU2AOF3 android 5.0.2. Should I send this phone back and get a brand new one or should I stick to this one and wait for a root? Right now i'm not using the phone because I kind of need root to do certain things on it and i don't really want to live without them for a long time. So should I keep it or should I return and get a new one?

Should I update galaxy s4 i9500 to Android lollipop ?

What should my version/build number be?

I have a 2014 moto x pure (not rooted) running 5.1. The version number is 13.1.28 and build LPE23.28. I saw a thread elsewhere with a posted stagefright patch, but the version number in the prereq's does not match mine. I didn't get lollipop OTA, I just downloaded it from another thread sometime around when the soaktest went out (sometime in the spring?).

Anyways, I'm wondering why my version number does not match, and also wondering if, by downloading the last update and installing it myself, I have lost the ability to recieve OTA's Thanks anyone who might have advice.
