Stock Camera for CM12.1

Hi. I installed Cm12.1 today and its awesome. But i dont like the stock cm camera. Is there a way to install stock g3 camera? Thanks.

Jiayu S3 camera not working

The camera on my stock Jiayu S3 randomly stopped working a few days ago. It said that the gallery wasn't responding so I rebooted and still no joy. I could run the gallery fine so was a bit confused. I installed google camera and it says camera not responding when I run it.

I flashed a different ROM on it and I'm still getting the same problem. I opened it up to check if anything was loose but looks ok but still no joy. Any thoughts?

I saw that nexus 6p has got a completely new camera app. I'm also willing to try it but can't find it through googling.

Strange black line on camera

Hello,

I have recently purchased an S6 and am loving it so far how ever last night I noticed that a black line appears on the camera when shooting in low light against darker backgrounds. I have been a little worried about it and just can't seem to figure out what it is. The camera functions perfectly in normal light. This issue only occurs on the back camera, the front camera is fine.

You can see the line especially well when a filter is added. I can't attach pictures because im new but I can message them to you if you wish to see!

Does anyone know what is causing this and should I be concerned?

Dust Under Glass Over Camera

I've had this phone for about three weeks and after around two weeks, I noticed that the pictures were starting to come out fuzzy and overexposed looking. Finally realized that there was dust under the glass covering the camera lens. Unfortunately, since it's under the glass, I'd have to take it apart to clean it (or possibly send it to Amazon for warranty, if they cover it).

The issue is that even if I take it apart and clean it, the issue will come up again and I'd rather not have to constantly take it apart and clean (especially since it happened only after two weeks). Does anyone have any suggestion to prevent this from happening again, besides not keeping it in my pocket?

This seems like a poor quality design to me. I carried my previous phone in my pocket for four years without any issues.

Galaxy S6 Stock Camera Shutter speed ?

Greetings.
After going crazy looking for a phone to replace my Nexus 5 and not finding one that ticks all the boxes, I'm planning on getting a Galaxy S6. I'm not a fan of Touchwiz, but overall it seems to be the phone that best suits me. (Size, great camera, fast performance)
However today I was trying out a couple Samsung phones at a Sammie counter and I noticed the Galaxy S6 edge+ has shutter speed control on Pro mode. While the regular S6 (the one I'm interested in) doesn't.
Aren't the cameras the same on both models?
A friend who works at Samsung (marketing department) said he's pretty sure the regular S6 has shutter speed control on Pro mode.
I can't seem to find information on it o.o
So how is it? Does it have it now because of some software update? If not, is it in Samsung plans to bring it soon?
On a different note, is there anything terrible bad about the S6 I should be aware of before buying it? Random and formed opinions on the phone seem to be pretty good, but I wonder...

After watching video I can not tax the internal storage of 16 theoretical because I only have three gigabytes free, with effort, I opted for the otg but can not find cameras that do
Only one time only lapses ago but has given me joy as if this app can also have other choose to leave the location of files

[Help] Lolipop 5.1 Camera change

Hi guys. Ok, I will try to make this as easy as I can.
I just got this phone and I finally got it with a fresh ROM. Now, the camera sucks. I dont like it at all.
I got used to the one on my S3 Mini with custom ROM (PAC-MAN Rom), but now I cannot find it anywhere, or at least, one that will work on my phone.

Its great, quick pics, auto focus, pics while in video recording... etc etc.
But it has TONS of ads. It sucks balls, because you are taking pics and you get a big ass ad in the middle of the screen, and "recomended apps" on the corner. So, I searched my files and found the ROM I used to have on my S3 Mini, searched for the camera APK and put it on my S3 to install it. It didnt. It wouldnt want to install. Not from the phone, ADB, etc.
So, I installed the one on the market, replaced the apk file with my wanted camera, and opened, for about 2 mins until started to freeze, not take pics and then not opening at all.
So, my question is, is there anyone who has it already installed? Can the market one can be modded to get rid of the ads? Maybe adapt my apk to make it install? Something?

Help Canvas HD Dead Only Camera Flash light ups for second

I have canvas hd it's doesn't start now
When put to charge its not get start changed only things that happened camera flashlight light up when insert battery
In PC its detected as mtk USB port
I flash the mobile when right drivers installed successfully
Then i switched it on mobile get switched on but always get freeaze at canvas hd animation sometimes it's boot to screenlock but when i try to unlock it's get freeze
Also mobile get overheat when it's freeze at canvas hd boot animation
Please help me i try different firmware also

'Can't connect to camera' error on CM 12.1 NIGHTLY 5.1.1 android ROM (GT-N5110 WIFI)

So, I installed nightly's ROM on my note 8, but it seems that my camera is not working properly. Every time I open it, I get the error I mentioned above. I tried clearing data and reboot and it worked. But if I try changing to video recording mode, my camera crashes. Any suggestions?

Stock camera mod for shot in lower megapixel

Is there any way to mod the stock camera for us to available to shot in lower resolution / megapixel?
Its kinda irritating to shot with full megapixel, I've emailed LG but their reply is bull****!
Even galaxy s6 have the option to choose for lower resolution.
I don't want to always shot with 5mb of photo size. Hopefully someone here is kind enough to mod the stock camera.

Camera failed issue on 4.4.4

Hi,

I got a 2nd hand N915T running 4.4.4 recently . For the stock camera app, when it tries to auto focus, very often it will freeze for seconds and the resumes. And eventually, it will crash saying "Camera failed". Sometimes, it will just freeze with some random screwed up graphics.

I have tried wiping cache, but after a few pictures , it will happen again. I am not sure if it's a conflict of certain apps.

Is this a known issue with 4.4.4? Does it get fixed with 5.0.1?

Is there any app that can tell me the camera sensor in my phone? I'm looking to buy the Mi 4C and it comes with either a Sony or Samsung sensor. I want the Sony one as its better

Camera does not focus correctly - possibly software?

I have an SM-N910T flashed with Rapture 8.2 running 5.1.1 on baseband COG2.

I've been having trouble with the camera ever since I flashed any custom rom. Sometimes the stock camera fails to open and remains black and spits out "camera failed."
Sometimes it opens with a big delay and is unable to focus to anything. The only temporary fix is clearing the camera cache, and trying again. Even so It's impossible to take a photo without exiting several times.

I have noticed that whenever I boot my phone, I have a "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" message that pops on the top left corner.

Could it possibly be that I have the wrong kernel interfering with the camera? I've booted in safemode and the issue persists.


Anyone experiencing something similar? I hope it's not hardware related.

Camera sensor question

Alright, so it's known that the sensor used in the N6P is the Sony IMX377. However, does anyone know if this sensor is native 16:9? 12.3mp is already pretty damn low for a "flagship" phone now-a-days, so it would kind of suck to have to go down to 9.6mp to shoot in a 16:9 aspect ratio.

G530F/G530H 5.1.1 camera port from 5.0.2, help needed

Hi, I made a port 5.1.1 stock rom for G530F or G530H from american phones G530W and G530T (with trap kernel). The rom is almost fully functional unfortunately, these american versions have different camera and nfc doesn't turn on at all.

Camera has black screen and shows error "Camera failed". Nfc switch is stuck after turning it on.

I have tried using camera firmware from 5.0.2 it did not work. If I change the vendor folder it would not boot at all. Can anybody help with porting camera libraries? Is this possible at all?
