A Question: Getting used to this phone after Note Edge. What i really miss...

the only application i miss from the Note Edge is the function to receive notifications, select apps, receive phone calls, forward/reverse music on edge so it doesn't disturb whatever ive been doing on the main screen.
has this function been added to s6 edge plus yet? or will it never be?

A little help on getting telephony back,please! "No SIM card detected" MT7 09 KK B127

Hi all !
I've got a Mate 7 09 that was on B121, I flashed stock B127 from Huawei's USA site to get rid of my operators rom, and it was fine, after that I flashed stock B137 KK, B308 LP and B317 LP.
But after flashing B137 I didn't use my device for callings nor anything as a phone, my SIM card was in another device. I was just trying LP so I didn't noticed it had no telephony signal because it can not read/detect the SIM card. Once I put in my SIM card the device couldn't detect it. It says "No SIM detected" No SIM card is detected. I've tried several ones.

What can be wrong? I've tried factory reset, rolling back to KK to B127 which worked the first time, factory reset again, and it's still the same. "No SIM card detected"

What can be so wrong?

Now I got a Mate 7 from a friend and it's in the same state as mine originally was. So I had the idea to get TWR on both, make a backup of the working device and flash it into mine.
I'm in that process.

What do you think is causing this problem? Modem drivers? Baseband? (Right now both have the same baseband number)
Anything to do with customization packs? I've seen several in a system folder called "HW"

Display getting very low on LG G4

When playing to watch a video on LG G4 the display light getting automatically low and dark. I checked the parameters for the Display and could not find anything.

Help getting media to auto play on Bluetooth

My D6603 used to reliably connect and auto play from either Google play music or Walkman app( whichever I was last using), as soon as I started my car. Once I got out of my car it would turn off and close the app. Since the latest updates to 5.0 and 5.1 the behavior is erratic. Often I have to unlock phone and press play. Is there a fix?

I am looking at getting the S6 edge.

I have been a die hard fan of HTC phones since the droid incredible. Figure its time to try something new. My M7 tried to pop the screen out as I guess the battery bulged. I am wondering if its a good phone and if touchwiz worked out its lag issues I seen in the past. Need a camera that works good as my M7 had that purple haze issue. More so I need to know if foxfi still works on this phone as I have seen many phones stop working. If not will have to look in to root and hope I get a phone not on the latest upgrade so I can root with that one touch root. I need tethering as where I live we have no internet access.

So its this phone or the Google nexus 6 for Verizon and planning to pick up one tomorrow. So any insight is welcomed.

I have rom, so can't use new android pay. How to stop getting updated.

I am on a custom rom (N5 on CM12.1) and rooted so android pay will not work for me. Now I am not too upset about not being able to pay with it, but it is kinda dumb that I can't even get access to my loyalty and gift cards without adding a credit card. So I uninstalled android pay, installed v8 of google wallet. I then unlinked to market using Titatinium backup, but the next day I see not only is it reconnected to market, but is due for update. I disconnected it from market again, and verified that it didn't show up as needing an update, but the next day I see that android pay has been updated.

So my real question is there no way to access loyalty cards without adding credit card? If not I am guessing that google play services is taking control of things and is automatically updating google wallet whether it is linked to market or not, so what can I do to stop it updating itself?

htc flyer not getting into bootloader menu and stucks on htc logo

hi ,
I have htc flyer and when I plugged it in after one yaer almost fistly red light started blinking and after that it goes stuck.At that specifi time I booted it up and it stucks on the HTC logo screen .At that time Iplugged it out but its red light still glows,I tried to power it Off but it just showed me black screen with no logo or nothis diagnostic
Now I used a technique of pressing nd holding a power button and volume up button it worked but when I tried to enter bootloader again it just took me to HTC logo dcreen as before and I had to go through whole process described before.
Now I dont know how to get rid of this all.Please Help Me!!!

Apps getting killed in background - possible solution?

We all know that 1 gig of RAM is not enough, so how did the older phones with a lot lesser amounts cope with multitasking? Better! Why? Because their minfree / lowmemorykiller values values were much more reasonable.

LG Spirit loves to kill off apps in the background because LG did a piss poor job of tweaking the low memory killer. If you hate having your music stop upon opening Firefox or whatnot, try this:

Go to Play Store, download "Kernel Adiutor" app ( it's spelled right! ) and in it's Low Memory Killer section, set it to Aggressive, and apply upon reboot. Then.... reboot :) Even on aggressive, it's still half of what LG set up in the default kernel.

That's it. Worked wonders on my end. Multitasking works now, just like it should.

Getting no command when trying to get twrp working

Not sure if I am doing it right but how do you get twrp to show up on your phone? I unlocked bootloader and I think I flashed twrp correctly but when I try to go to recovery it says no command. Anyone else ran into this issue or know what is wrong? Thanks

Why does nobody mention this audio bug? Getting worse and more frequent

OK so I have a Galaxy S6 Edge on AT&T running 5.1.1. and ive had this problem since I believe the S5, heres an example, Im playing music through the google play music app and (it happens so much!) suddenly the EQ shuts off and the music goes flat and sounds awful so I have to restart the music or use a task killer that for some reason turn it back on, I don't know if this is an app, os, or Samsung problem but it happens much to often. I know I cant be the only one with this problem, since its happened to me with multiple phones and multiple OS versions, please someone help me out, maybe a way to set a persistent notification for the EQ (stock Samsung EQ, have UHQ on and bass and treble boost on)? Ive found maybe one post on this but for the S4, if this is an issue that I have just never heard before but has been known by the community, could you please give me some info? Thanks everyone

I keep getting sluggish/slow and unstable experiences from KitKat and Lollipop roms

I've tried some kitkat and lollipop roms but a few days after installing the roms my phone starts getting annoyingly slow and sometimes apps will just close in the background. Does this mean my phone's RAM and CPU can't handle the version of Android I put on there?

I honestly don't have time to try out every rom available for the S3 to find out which one is fastest on this device. I just want a fast light-weight rom on my phone which won't get sluggish. It seems the latest official Samsung rom is Jellybean so would you guys recommend I use that? Will any of the third party JellyBean roms perform similarly? Will anything above JellyBean be sluggish?

opo hard-bricked, recovered and now has problem getting cellular signal

Hi guys,

Tried to flash OxygenOS 1.03 through twrp 2.8.7 after getting some annoying problems with OPO on the latest CM11s.
Done many flashes before so didn't really expect much problems. Then OPO couldn't boot up at all with black screen. I followed the instruction here to unbricked with factory tool to clash an old edition of ColorOS and I thought that was the end of it. Flash OxygenOS again, bricked again. :eek:

Then I recovered and flashed COS 12.1. Didn't really want to make the jump but I had too. I immediately noticed I am unable to connect to 4G. Thinking that the OS 1.03 from OP didn't contain any modem update and thus the hard brick, I flashed 1.03 again and worked. Again no 4G or any cellular connection. I went out side and finally got a very weak 4G connection (I usually have full bar around my home). Really desperate, I flashed back to official CM12s, and flashed the correct radio for it. Same thing.

It has been a week now. I could get some connection if force it to 3G but still very spotty. It is hard to use. I tried different modems, even one from ColorOS because I am in China and I got the phone in US.

Any tips on solving this? :confused:

Phone getting hot and struggle with WiFi. Please help!

My G-900F is sometimes getting really really hot and sluggish, especially to the left of the samsung logo. It seems the problem is with wifi. It struggle with internett connection and everything about internett is sluggish (takes forever to load a webpage with chrome). This problem occurs randomly it seems. Most the time the phone is okay and smooth.

The phone is super smooth and have no problems with anything for at least a week after totalt restore of firmware. Weird right?

Thing I've tried. Restore FW. Forget and reconnect to WiFi. Reset phone.

I'm on POI1 FW and it was super smooth for about a week.

I have a TMO Galaxy Note 3, Rooted with CF Using TWRP running Version 5.0. Im looking to installing a custom Rom but just kinda overwhelmed with bootloaders on or off ,Kernals and so on. I was just wondering if someone could give me some advice to a Rom that would be a little less complicated until i figure everything else out. Thanks~!
