error code 14 on lumia 930 with windows 10 installed.

I am really getting a run around with this and literally getting nowhere.

i have a lumia 930 which should be sufficient for doing what everyone else is achieving.

i have enrolled in the windows insider. i installed windows insider and opted for the "fast" option.
It then installed windows 10 on my phone and all looks good.

I then went to "for developers" and enabled "developer mode" and enabled device discovery.

I used the program wconnect;

Code:

C:\Users\xav\Downloads\wphone\APKDeployment>wconnect usb
Creating session...

Please enter the pin for the device to be paired and connected: N2d7G4
There was a problem booting the Astoria platform on the Windows device. Error co
de = 14

It shows on the phone 1 device paired so its doing that part ok.

am i missing the developer extras package?

I feel that maybe it. which probably has the android development stuff.

if i goto check for updates it says i am up to date.

Please help!

Windows RT 8.1 - Jailbreak Sign Tool

Hello Everyone,

I've written a small tool that allows you to sign a single file or a complete folder. See attachments. It is quick and dirty. If someone wants to improve it, there is the source attached also.

Please note that this tool will sign every exe and dll files in all sub folders if you select "Sign folder"!

Best of all: It also runs on Windows RT directly :)

Have fun!

Java/J2ME and console emulators for Windows Phone?

I took a look over the PPSSPP.org downloads section, and it turns out that all platforms have PPSSPP emulator, except our lovelly & awesome Windows Phone!. Now come on, is there anything wrong with Windows Phone that doesn't allow any porting of emulators and/or Java/J2ME VMs to the platform?

I'd love to be able to play games such as Silent Hill series and carry them with me on my phone, whether J2ME or PSP version.

Does anyone have any idea of what's really going on with the Windows Phone platform in terms of app development/porting? I just don't get it... :(

[Windows 8.1 RT] Jailbreak Exploit By MyriaChan

Hi guys!

Some of you might know that MyriaChan recently releases a jailbreak exploit for Windows RT 8.1. Since I'm not able to post at the development area, I decided to do it here. It looks like that she found a way to enter ''test-signing'' mode. This is what she said: ''While in test-signing mode, applications still have to be signed, but they can be signed by anyone, including your own self-signed certificates.'' Because this is possible, applications that already have been ported by other xda-members can be used on Windows 8.1 RT. But they have to be signed. So I decided to sign some of them and then publish them. This will take some time, so please be patient.

- How to enter ''test-signing'' mode?
1) Open Windows PowerShell with administrator rights and execute the followeing command: bcdedit /set '{current}' loadoptions ' /TŅSTSIGNING' (Thanks to MyriaChan!)
2) Reboot your Windows tablet
3) Go to Windows Update -> Installed Updates and remove these updates: KB3088195 and KB3084905-V2 (Thanks to mbjun!)
4) Reboot your Windows tablet again
5) Instead KB3084905-V2 on WRT8-1, you can install v1 to be protected, if you don't have it (If you installed right v2 in download.windowsupdate.com/d/...f3d93dfef0.msu (Thanks to mbjun!)
6) Reboot your Windows tablet again
7) Because Windows Update installs KB3088195 automatically, you have to disable Windows Update. Open regedit.exe with administrator rights and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update
8) Set the DWORD AUOptions to 0 (Thanks to clrokr)
9) You only can use apps that are signed. I will post some of them here, so stay tuned!

Thanks to MyriaChan for her exploit, mbjun for the Windows Updates, clrokr for blocking Windows Update and GoodDayToDie for the desktop apps ported to Windows RT. I don't own anything and use this at your own risk!

Good luck!

Reverting back to older version from Windows 10

I have the Verizon version of the phone.

I am having so much trouble reverting back from 39A to 27A through KDZ method. I've tried TOT method as well, but it isn't working under Windows 10.

I do not have learning disability. So, I have followed all the instructions on how to use KDZ and TOT.

Any advice?

Windows 10 tablets?

I'm fully aware this site is mainly android & windows phones. I'm just looking for someone that might be able to fix an app that was released for windows 8 pc's. It's called Touchpal, it was put out in Windows 8 but was dropped. It's a swipe feature & is badly needed for us tablet users. I have been able to get the program running by installing & running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Everything about the keyboard works except for the swipe function.
I'm wondering if anybody might be willing to take this task on & see if they can get it to work properly, seems like it might not be that hard to accomplish for anybody that knows what they are doing.

Anyways, thanks in advance & please message me if you need any info on the app.
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, I just couldn't find a place that this might catch someones attention. If you have to move it that's fine, just let me know where you moved it to.

Help cracking software on Windows CE Device!

I'm not sure if I am in the right place to ask this, but here goes.

I work for a land surveying company and we have been using a software called C&G to collect data out in the field. The software runs on a piece of hardware called a data collector. To be more exact, it is an Allegro CX made by Juniper Systems. The device is loaded with Windows CE .Net 4.20 along with a program called PocketDOS. The C&G program runs inside of PocketDOS. The software is SUPER old and the company is no longer around to support it. We have no desire to purchase a new software package as this one works just fine for what we need and everyone is used to it.

We have at least 8 licenses for this software, but the problem is, it is coded to register based on the serial number of the Allegro data collector. We have had multiple data collectors go bad, so we are looking to purchase more units, but we will be unable to register the C&G software on these units because the serial numbers will be different.

So my question is, can anyone help me modify the C&G program and make it so that it does not check the serial of the data collector? That way, we can purchase new data collectors and load the software (that we have rights to) on the new units. If the company were around to support the software, we would be able to call them and they would generate new registration codes.

I can send links to download the software, along with any DLLs you might need from the data collector.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

How to extract your system.img with ext4 unpacker on Windows

Extract any app or system files in Windows with ext4 unpacker.

Very useful if you delete accidentally system app or you need to extract build.prop and local.prop

Works great on my Win 10 pro .

Using Huawei Update Extractor to extract from Update.app system.img on any firmware H60

After extracting system.img open ext4 unpacker and select it

Right click and select the folder or file you want to extract

Microsoft lumia 640 (Windows 8.1): Can I Install Android ROM?

Howdy all,

This is my first post so please bare with me :)
I was hoping to install a custom rom (android) onto my lumia 640, but I've been stopped in my tracks because from loads of different websites, instructions pointed me towards installing ROM Builder via uninstalling Extra + Info and then re installing it onto the SD card and then using the previously deployed app CustomWPSystem to replace it with Rom Builer, (I would post a link to the instructions, but it wont let me, but if you type in "How to Jailbreak and Unlock your Lumia Windows Phone" its the first link I believe, website is windowsblog)
. But this can't be done, I'm not sure whether its due to an update of some sort from Microsoft or I'm doing something wrong but the store tells me I can only install Extra + Info to the Phones memory and not the SD Card, I've made sure new apps, downloads and what ever else is set to install to the SD Card. SD Card permissions is green inside CustomWPSystem and everything else is as should, the thing is if I decide to install CustomPFD by modding/replacing the app Preview for Developers, it works fine and I can change the boot up logo, shutdown logo etc..

So after all of that explaining my question is, how can I get to install Rom Builder or install the android custom rom? Is there another way?

I am fine with having to hard reset my phone if needs so just tell me what needs doing and I'll do it

Cheers guys,

Chris Branston

[Theme 5.x] Windows Phone/Material Fluid

I have created a nice theme for My LG G2 (D801) this should work regardless of carrier though.
The basis of this rom is my SlimLP rom with Xposed custom framework, i do not take credit for any of the creations, just the simple fact of setting the customization up.
First here are some screenshots:
Attachment 3491341
Attachment 3491342
Attachment 3491343
Attachment 3491351
Attachment 3491350

Requirements
- Rooted LG G2
- Philz Touch Recovery or other compatible recovery, I will include a copy of philz touch at the bottom
- Any 5.x Rom for Your G2, i recommend SlimLP it is what i use and it runs very well
- the custom lollipop xposed framework by romracer (attached at the bottom)
- the alpha xposed 3.0 apk (attached at bottom)
- and two xposed modules and one free play store application that we'll get into later

Step 1:
-root, if you are coming from stock, you can use autorec.apk, google it and make sure you get the correct version for your phone
Step2:
- Install a proper recovery, if you use the Autorec application to root and flash your G2, it installs TWRP, since i prefer Philz and it works the best for this application i recommend it, see the attached (THIS RECOVERY ATTACHED IS FOR THE TMOBILE LG G2 (D801) DO NOT USE ON ANY OTHER VARIANT
Step3:
- Back up your stock, if you are using philz you can do a custom back up, i recommend a full entire back up
- Flash your ROM, there are plenty of CR's out there, but i prefer the SlimLP rom, or Sudorootdev's Vanir ASOP rom, both are great choices.
Step 4:
- Flash Gapps, the distribution is your chioce
Step 5:
- boot system and set up with google account
- Go into settings and enable developers settings (settings>about>press build number repeatedly)
- go into developers settings and change root access to enabled for apps and adb, and also turn USB debugging on
- Install the Alpha3.0 Xposed apk
Step 6:
- Reboot into recovery and flash the Xposed lollipop framework
- Reboot system, and wait, depending on the number of applications you have, it could take a long time to "optimize your apps"
- Once booted up go into the Xposed application and it should say that your framework is installed
- Go to download and search for "android Theme Engine" and "Lolistat"
- Activate both and reboot your phone
Step 7:
- Go into android theme engine and scroll down to "navbar themes" check "Enable Navbar Themes" and the select the windows theme
- click the "restart ui" button next to the gear in the app
Step 8:
- Go into lolistat and enable tint navigation bar, and tint notification icons, what this does is merges the native color of the app, as seen in the above pictures, to the navbar and statusbar colors
- WARNING/// Lolistat tends to crash when using the slimrecents feature, to fix this go to settings>interface>recent apps panel>"slim recents" off
Step 9:
- This is the main part of the theme, go to the play store and download WP Launcher, it is free
- once installed, press home and it will prompt you as to use which launcher, select "WP launcher" and click always
Step 10:
- Customize it to your liking, i will include the "Master Chief Approves" picture and you can pull the windows 10 lockscreen picture from and W10 machine

////Further Customization////
- Messaging Metro Beta- for texting, looks very much like a WP messaging application
- ai.type keyboard Free + Emoji- can theme to look like WP

Boot to Android WIndows App for X98 Air 3G

Hi,

I did a clean Windows 10 install and of course, the Boot to Android app in Windows has gone.

How can I get it back? I tried copy this app from a brand new x98 (wifi version, not 3G) but it did not work.

Many thanks.
