Google play store apps download problem (error code : 497)

I am on android MRA58K and my google play store stopped working for most of the applications including google apps when I am on wifi (works on cellular ). I have remed and added my google account. Did not work. Then factory reset the device and no use. And now I can not update most of the application. Cleared cache for google services and play store app as well with no success. Some people suggested changing the DNS to google DNS on the router might work. IN my case that did not work. Help is appreciated.
Note: I am on unmodified stock.

_BKF_NV_W Failed (Using Upgrade Download tool)

Hi/Hello Sir/Maam

I am a owner of a Cherry mobile Flare S3 mini, which has a Spreadtrum Chipset (Sc8830). My problem is that I accidentally flash a rom that causes it to be deadboot. I look on ways on how to revive it and I find this "Upgrade Download Tool' which is a flash tool for spreadtrum devices. But I can flash my stock rom which is in .pac format through this Upgrade Download Tool because I always get this error "_BKF_NV_W", I dont know what that means and I really need somehelp. Can somebody here help me with this error? I would appreciate any help that will come to you with regards to this. Thanks and I hope that you can help me.

How to manually download and update Android?

Hi guys, a few years ago we purchased a box based on Android. It was made user friendly for older people to watch Chinese channels, it's not the famous TVPAD, it's something called an IPLAYER I5. Anyway, I don't think this company is providing anymore updates, and so its a nice paper weight now. However, it is android and it's 4.2.

I plan to use it for Kodi, but I'm just wondering about the future. Kodi now requires at minimum 4.2, which makes us okay. But what if this requirement is changed in the future? Is there a way to make my box current, like Android 5.0 at least?

BTW, who provide updates for a hardware? The hardware maker, or does the system automatically search for an update? I've never been clear about that. But since I did go to the updates to check for updates and it says none is available, then I'm guessing it's the hardware maker?

Thank you for your time!

Can't download apps through the playstore on CM 12.1

Is this something that other people are experiencing? I can't use the playstore to download apps. They get to a certain percentage of download and then stop. I've tried with quite a few different things. The only one that worked was hangouts. I've tried and tried, reset a lot but to no avail. I've had to load the APKs onto the device and do it that way.

PS I would post in the 12.1 thread but I'm too new. :p

LG G4 Bricked, authentication error, stuck in download mode not sure what to do!

ok so i just got my device about a week ago my phones on sprint and i thought i'd root it finally. I tried to root my device but i couldn't figure out if i was LS991ZV4, zv5, zv6 because i was on the latest firmware (i believe) but i have no clue what those 3 things mean sadly. It's been years since i tried to root a device and thought i could handle it. But i guess i can't.

Can someone tell me what i SHOULD be on currently if my phone was 100% up to date on sprint? And can someone please link me to a site that has the stock image for my device? i've been searching for over an hour now and the only file i can find is a TOT file which i BELIEVE is for ZV4 and if i am in fact on ZV6 than that means i can't restore it back to that image file. I'm in a serious bind here if i've permanently bricked my device.

i9505 Bootloop On Any ROM (Recovery And Download Mode Accessable)

Guys, care to help me out here? I have this i9505 in front of me. It was brought to me because it would randomly stop playing audio. I noticed that this audio issue only happens after the device wakes up from sleep. No sound at all after wake up from sleep. And Video Playback (SdCard and YouTube) stutter goes along with the problem. Here's what I did to get rid of this issue:

- Factory reset in Samsung Stock Recovery; didn't help.
- Flash stock tar.gz via Odin; didn't help. (Yes, I used the correct one matching my model)
- Flash CM to rule out issues with Samsung specific software/drivers; didn't help

So I concluded that there must be a hardware issue. Since the device looked pretty worn out and sticky, I though maybe dust or something else like a liquid could've destroyed the internals. I dissassembled it but to my surprise it looked very clean. So I reassembled it. Plot twist; now it wouldn't boot anymore. It passes the Samsung splash screen and gets into the Bootanimation. But within seconds into it, it reboots. This goes on and on and on unless I take out the battery. I know what you're thinking, but listen; I disassembled/reassembled almost 70 devices, almost half of which iPhones (Yes, I keep track of it, since I charge people for my work) and chances that I messed up something are very low. Not saying impossible, but you get the point. I exclusively change parts. Dispalys, middle frames, backcovers, batteries, microphones, cameras, microsd/sim trays, you name it*. Anyway.

Now, no matter what I do, I can't boot into the OS. Download Mode, Recovery, be it stock TWRP or CWM just work fine. When I format the internal storage via TWRP/CWM and boot up the device on stock, no folders are created on it. But when I flash a custom ROM, be it TW, CM or AOSP/A, I sometimes get into the OS and the standard Android folder structure is created. But the device is then pretty much unresponsive. I can barely navigate the OS before it shuts down again.

What could be the issue here? What could I have damaged during reassembly to cause these issues? But on the other hand, the S4 has a fairly simple architecture and I use an ESD pad, ESD wrist straps and only use plastic tools to pry off connectors. I even watch the humidity in my room for the record.

I gave this guy a replacement Nexus 5 already after he brought his S4 to me. That's what I usually do when I can't tell how long a "repair" could take. If it turns out that I caused the problem, of course he'll get to keep the device.

LG G2 Download Mode Not Detected by Device Manager in

So first. I was trying to flash TWRP with AutoRec and when I rebooted I got a message saying fastboot mode started. I couldn't access anything else. I read around and managed to get download mode back but I cannot flash the kdz with the flash tool because the phone is not detected by the computer while in download mode. This is the Verizon variant g2 (vs980).

How do I download files to my SD card on my Galaxy Tab 10" and Note 4?

Ever since Kitkat? I can't download files and save them on my SD cards. I'm sure I'll need root now but for some reason I'm finding the answer to this question very difficult to find.

So, if you guys could point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative.

I need to know how to root each device ( I haven't done this in a while) and if there are any special apps I need to doenload to the SD card.

Thanx

LG G3 Sprint (LS990) Stuck on Boot, Will Not Enter Download Mode

This morning while trying to root my G3, I ended up soft bricking it. Fun times. My biggest issue is that every walk-through on fixing it requires a boot into download mode, which does not seem to work. I can boot into recovery mode just fine, but when I hold volume up and plug in the USB cable it displays my current battery level. I tried the same process with the battery removed, and it did the same but instead of showing the battery charging, it just had a yellow question mark sign.

Thank you for any help you can give!

Can't download files on browser or transfer files from PC to OnePlus

I'm currently running Oxygen OS and trying to switch to CM. I have root access and have TWRP installed. I'm trying to flash CM12 but I am not able to transfer the file to the phone via USB cable. I also am not able to download anything from the web while on the browser, whether it's Chrome or Firefox.

I tried updating Chrome on the Play Store but I get an error.

I just wanna install CM and get out of OxygenOS
